How to stream games from your PC to TV using Nvidia Shield!

Ok I was able to get my Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller’s rumble to work! You may not need the $50 VirtualHere app either. VirtualHere allows you plug in the Xbox Wireless Adapter to your ShieldTV directly, as if it were connected to your PC. The reason why the Xbox Wireless Adapter is probably the best option to work with VirtualHere is because general bluetooth dongles require drivers and will probably cause some conflict, as it did with mine. You only need this app if your PC is too far away for the xbox adapter/bluetooth’s signal or USB cable to reach. Fortunately, my PC is in the next room over, so I can use any bluetooth dongle directly connected to my PC. If you really wanted to you could just run a long USB cable from PC to Shield TV. The only way to fully control the menus of the ShieldTV itself is to use either the shield remote, shield game controller, or by a controller with the built in bluetooth like a dualshock 4 or xbox one controller, but then we’re back at square one without rumble. You’ve connected your gamepad of choice to your PC, but can’t get it work in-game at all... simple. Once you have your Xbox controller (or whatever) directly connected to your PC, enter Gamestream on the ShieldTV. Stream your game, hold down the start button on your shield remote or gamepad, and pull up the in-game overlay. From here, click the 3 dots, and select enable multiple controllers. That’s it. Controller and rumble works. If that doesn't work, just disable the shield gamepad completely in the shield OS/android settings.

Well done mate you should really mention in title setup of virtual hub as well. Did you have any issues whilst using Xbox controller with wireless adaptor with setting up order of controllers such as player 1 and player 2

I recently bought a shield tv and I struggle to find the games added to my library in shield like you did with mortal kombat. My Interface looks different from yours too when I go to Nvidia shield it dose not show a library, but all games that I have on my steam account and I have to search nothing shows up that I added

What about the image quality? Did u noticed banding color (dithering)? And I was reading about the upscaling feature of Shield TV. It's really awesome when u upscale a 1080 content on a 4K tv?

Great video, does this provide surround sound on the nividia shield reciever when streaming from pc? I've got a surround sound setup and was hoping it would send that through the nvidia shield

lol I have the exact cable hooking up my shield to my TV. A shame Nvidia killed off game stream do you have a video of how to do it with steam link? Main thing is if the controller has to be connected to the pc or the shield device.

I got a question to ask if you dont have a computer or Laptop but you have Nvidia Shield Pro can you still play games on steam when you purchase a game from Steam on your nvidia shield pro does it show on it

I have the old Xbox One controller with the USB receiver that I use on my computer. Will this work with the Shield TV?

Can you do the same with Epic or Ea or any of the other launchers too or does it only work with Steam for screen mirroring?

everytime i try to play a game with the shield controller it uses it as though it's a mouse, and i can't actually play with it any one know a fix?

No one that ive seen doing this how to video mentions that your nvidia shield will not connect to the pc if you are using a VPN on your Nvidia shield. I was watching this video because I was having connection issues and it turns out that is why I could not connect because I had vpn on. Just an FYI for anyone that uses a VPN.

Still can't figure out how to actually initiate the stream. Everything is setup and connected but if I try to launch anything, it just launches with GeForce Now.

Hi this is the only video tutorial I can find about using Virtual Here for the rumble. I'm having trouble with the Gamestream not recognizing the controller even though my computer does. If I launch the game on my computer then it works but that kind of defeats the purpose. Currently trying to fix but I hope someone sees this and has a fix

Experience will vary.... shield pro connected to my computer via hard Ethernet cable sucks and is unplayable.

BITT DISAPPOINTING, what did i expect? just looks as though im outputting my game to my tv screen, i know all of the heavy GPU processing is done by NVIDIA servers, and heavy duty hardware there side, streamed back to youre tv hardware and all you need is a purchased game, and crucially a good internet connection , mines 3.5 MB 28mbits per sec , the proccess i think should be scripted a installer to guide you through
