I have to admit, I always wanted to learn how to sing but I was scared that my family hears me and makes fun of me. But this was really fun and I am glad I started this
@@aldreitzdavebufete4938 I don’t know how you listen to the music you sing to. If you use headphones, it could be because you try to mimic the singer you listen to instead of staying in you own voice. That was my problem for a long time and that held back my progress. If it is yours too, you should look into „bored singing“. Record yourself while singing and if that sounds really good and your family still doesn’t like it then it’s their personal taste in music that makes them not like your singing.
Just wait, I was a great singer as a kid but I realized around 15 it was really hard for me to sing like I used too, SO I JUST KEPT DOING IT, 20yrs old now and back to great singing voice, good luck👍

Your 30 Days to A Better Voice lesson is very helpful. Seeing this helps me improve my excercises more. Thank you for making such a good course i highly recommend.

Omg ... I was studying my voice for almost one year but my head voice always has been my "Achilles Heel" and with that simple tip about putting the finger near to the ear, it was 100% worth it. You're really really amazing ... Buying your course right now!
Came from improving your speaking voice... Never thought about using that exercise. I think i heard on of my favorite vocalists Spencer Charnas from ice nine kills speak between songs using that method. Idk. But i love your content you helped me out so much with finding my natural voice and continue improving and challenging myself. Keep it up cause you are such a great teacher/coach
Ok, so I'm a very stubborn person, I find it hard to believe that some of these vocal exercise on RU-vid even work, but after trying these out, my eyes went from -_- to O.O.... Thank you Adam you got me sold!!
I really needed this video...! Loved how you explained everything very easily...well I wanna start a new RU-vid channel for covering songs...would u please make a video on easy songs to sing for beginners?
I never used to be able to make noise in a higher range sue to puberty, but it's coming back now after working on vocal fry techniques, flageolet and stuff. Now I can do these exercises a little bit.
When you're doing falsetto exercises thsts what I consider to be head voice. I have always though that falsetto was the flutey type voice that was a disconnected register so that there would be a break going into your chest....but I'm not a trained singer so i wouldn't know
You are right. Anytime your voice sounds breathy as a flute in a disconnected way then that is falsetto. But it will occur immediately after chest right at the voice break or passagio (keep reading, I mention where the falsetto should occur in singing) and it is normal and that is the biggest challenge in general for men. If you switch to singing breathier at this point you may be able to sing easily but it won't be pretty - it will be as if you are singing the same phrase in 2 voices and you don't want that. The key is to "negotiate the passagio". If you manage to navigate this break by slightly lightening your chest voice then that is your "chest mix" voice. From here you go to your head voice but none of this should sound breathier. The biggest challenge is training the chest mix voice to make sure it is strong enough to sing the notes (like B below middle C or C sharp or D4, E4 above middle C - all for men) clearly without sounding like a different voice and light enough to switch into the head register so the chest to head transition is smooth. At the end of the head register (which must be like the A sharp, B sharp or C5) you tend to become breathier which is the proper falsetto that you mentioned. You don't want to go into falsetto anywhere before this. Most songs are set in the chest and chest mix and then some head register. If you strengthen this area then you can sing happily through all of them 😊😄😊!!!
I'm losing hope cause I really want to sing but my voice is too low. I can't even use any head voice, just chest voice. But I just started singing yesterday so idk, but I'm the type who wants immediate results and dang, I'm losing it.
Hiii, I hope you’re doing well!! I’m no good singer nor a vocal teacher but, from singing for years. Never lose hope, since you said you just started singing, yes it may sound crappy and hard. But trust me be patience and work slowly. Record yourself and see where u are struggling
@@bedivere2217 what id say is learn to love singing. i used to have what is probably the same mindset of "i want to sing to improve, then people will think it's impressive and like me" or just to improve. it'll take time but for sure try to just learn to like singing and try to get out of that "i have to get really good at singing and I'm not good enough" mindset
This is unfair.. When I was in puberty and had my voice shift I did this easily. But stopped bcs I thought I sounded like a girl. Very embarrassing back then. Even did it when I was 3 years old but didn't know what i was doing. Just fun to play with my voice. Now,when I am 42 my falsetto vocal cords are just a wisper, blaffering false sound like letting air out of a balloon He he.. Just impossible to do it. I Want it back!!
A sincere question. When I try to sing head voice ( with support from abs) I tend to break in vocal fry or more air starts coming out and it feels hoarse in the throat, so what should be done to improve it?
I like the video verrry much, i understood and succeded belting with it. Can i use this technique in choir singing? Isn't it a too loud result? The volume of the sound was amazing, but their i have to blend with my voice collegues.
Awesome video… any tips on how to relax the under the chin muscle… I’d never heard of this before and discovered mine is super engaged and hard to relax!? 😅
One way I'm doing it is by doing an operatic ah or oh sound, but really quiet, and sliding up my range trying to make the sound go up without doing anything with my neck muscles. Gotta really keep connected to your breath doing it though. Very steady and slow exhale. Try and make your voice ride the flow that you start at the bottom by quietening even more if you feel like your voice will stop.
Please react to YOUR EYES TELL by BTS It's one of their recent Japanese songs, it's a ballad and co-written by one of the members and I think you'll like it! It's a beautiful song :')
My chest voice used to be weak and my head voice was great, I started training my chest voice and it got super strong and now I don’t know why my head voice is not strong like it used to 🤦♂️, is it because I lost that practice ? Idk why
I quite the opposite. My chest voice i fantastic. I can reach bass without a problem. But i can't reach highs for sh*t. And the best part is that when i sing with rasp (when instead of sounding like BMTH i sound like Lamb of God trying to sing like Slipknot) for a long time i lose my ability to use my head voice for a few days. Right now i can barely use my head voice.
Hi. I do have some questions. I had seen your other video about head voice. Way before this one. I think it helped me. Maybe a little. Because I think I was maybe doing the exercises wrong. I was practicing the go exercise and the wow exercise, but with a Vocal fryer. My question or for how long should I do those two exercises? I was doing 15 minutes each, but as time went on I wasn’t able to no longer use buckle fryer as easily with the second exercise. It was also hurting me a lot. Don’t know if that’s normal though. Was doing a 3 to 4 times a week, but was considering on doing those exercises daily. Then I ran into this video, and didn’t think about improving my falsetto before my actual ahead boys. So now another question would be is if I should do the exercises on this video first? Then move to those other exercises another time? If so for how long should I do the exercises that were here on this video? Should I jump to the other two exercises at a later time? When I’ve been proven with the exercises that are mentioned here? Or is it fine if I do all of these exercises at the same time? I know it’s a lot of questions, but if you could answer them I would really appreciate it. Also apologies if there is error in my writing. I am visually impaired and use phone dictation to type. Thank you for reading and God bless you.
Adam what do you think of Marnell's method of just using chest voice? Because you were a student of his but I see you teaching head voice but Marnell just teaches using chest voice very strongly and then learning to modify it to create mixed voice.
Sir just for you next video I recommend a must must must watch global army "7 reasons" which is sung in so many languages it will really mean a lot to people if you react to this thanks
Hello, you are doing a great and professional response. I wanted to read your opinion about Viki Gabor, who is only 13 years old, has excellent vocals. Her latest single is "Forever And A Night". I will give you her best live performances. great video, I've been singing for a while but I still can't switch into falsetto, not even talking about proper head voice, I feel like there's a barrier in my throat that won't let me sing any higher than F4. How do I go around this obstacle? I've had coaches tell me that im just afraid, and to prove them wrong I tried to squeak out the notes with insane amount of force and ended up hurting myself. I just don't understand how to slide easily into falsetto, I have friends that don't even sing, can produce falsetto with ease, and here I am trained for years and not been able to understand what the muscles in my throat should do to release those high notes. Its incredibly frustrating, Im feeling hopeless, because I love to sing so much! thanks!
When you do ascending crescendos using ah without being loud (that is key otherwise you will start to push, you must lighten the sound) you will feel a switch in the voice. If you continue to sing beyond the switch then that tone is your headvoice/falsetto. It might be breathy (no vocal cord closure) or very thin due to lightening up. F4 is pretty high for chest voice? Or maybe I misunderstood: Are you trying to go from head to falsetto? If I were you and if my chest voice is up there at F4 then I wouldn't worry about head voice or falsetto because I'd be happily belting my way through most songs!!! Just saying 😊😄😊!!!
It’s like no matter how many times I try or search for a video to help me improve my singing or trying to help me belt or even try to hit a whistle note. I just CANT do it cause I DONT understand it’s confusing like Idk I really need help but I’m scared for people to hear me 😭
Did you find this one scientific? If not, check tylor wysong. He has a lil science in his. This guy's advice is gold though. And I feel like you have to get more in touch with your intuition in order to relax and make the right sounds. Not much critical thinking in that
falsetto is not head voice, falsetto is the way Charlie puth sings the chorus of attention n head voice is how The Weeknd sings (he has a really strong head voice) and yeah we switch between chest n head voices accordingly the way which sounds better
There's a middle point between my head voice and chest voice where I can't speak and it's like I'm trying to yell in a nightmare and nothing comes out, what do I do?
