The problem is not with the usefulness. Everything which is taught in school is useful. But if I'm going to pursue English literature after school why the fuck should I bombard my brain with geometry, Fibonacci numbers etc. It's irrelevant for me ! Hope you get the point ❤️
@@kirteesh that's the exact opposite point I am trying to make, brother.. Even though we want to puruse English literature or Chartered accountancy or MBBS or whatever as your higher education, the basics of Maths should not be treated as "I won't be using it in my life"... Yes, you won't be using it in your academics, but you would need it in your day-to-day activities... Like Biswa mentioned, how much to accelerate the car, how to look at patterns in flowers, etc... It's not just about bookish knowledge and higher Education, but about practical applicability

I've watched the live stream and today I'm watching the highlights, because this is so good. But everytime when Sid says momentum (thinking it to be the rate of change of acceleration) I feel stabbed. But after the learning astrophysics series he know what rate of change of acceleration actually is, jerk! 😐
Honestly bro me same as Biswa I did so much math that I started to see the pattern, unanswered questions would not let me sleep at night,I kept on searching for them untill 1 day I found it
But i don't get the point where sid says that complexity = reflection of knowledge. When will look at it in a linguistics sense, I wonder why can't the language be simple which everyone can understand. Shouldn't excellence be based on experience and not the unnecessary linguistic complexity. Just one thought
To distinguish things, to understand things deeper you will inevitably need newer terms ....you cannot explain it with limited vocabulary ....it would be great to be able to do it simply ...but it is a necessary evil
