OMG honestly this has been the best video that gives CLEAR instructions on how to create a cricut mug using sublimation. I’ve been up all morning replaying this video and I’m proud to say, with your help I’ve successfully created my own mug. YOUR VOICE IS AMAZING too lol.
Hi Carole! Thank u for ur video showing us that we can use sublimation with the mug press as well. Many r under the impression u can only use infusible ink with it. Hugs, Donna
Thank you so much for this informative video. I have numerous videos on how to sublimate a photo mug and this is the best one I have found and come back to it when sublimating mugs.
Just picked up my press this morning. Kind of an impulse buy as I didn’t even know they were coming out. Joann’s actually has a pretty good sale on the mugs. Buy 2 get 2 free. I am looking forward to making some mugs for my family. Thanks for such a great tutorial!
Thank you so much for this video. I've not made anything like this. I'm looking forward to orderi g the press this week and will be looking for a sublimation printer, it will be a game changer.
if you get a sublimation printer.. do your research.. I first fell for the Epson brand that you had to "convert" too much maintenance.. I would suggest the Sawgrass... it is more.. but I have had mine since Dec.. and I have printed over 400 full prints and I am still around the 1/2 full mark of cartridges.. Sawgrass does its periodic maintenance on its own.. and do not turn it off so that it can work its magic.. so you can print when you want.. not when it wants like the Epson..
@@LisaArrettaJones01 hello! I am looking for a sublimation printer as well and I would like to know where did you purchase urs and if it has a special # . I seen on that is Virtuoso SG 500 and there is another one that is Virtuoso SG 1000. Can you let me know if u have any of this plZ . Thank you! My email is aleidacabrera@yahoo.com I will really appreciate it if you can send me this information. Thank you
Three things: I need a manicure (your nails are lovely!), I need that mug press NOW, and lastly I am assuming I can not do this without a sublimation ink printer? Yes, or no? One last thing: YOU make the BEST videos!!!! XO
@@donnalewis8830 only with sublimation in and you have to have a brand new printer for it. It can not be cartridge ink printer a echo tank works best. If you already have a echo tank printer with regular ink there are videos on how to convert it to a sublimation ink printer. Join a FB cricut group.
Thank you for this well explained video. I was very concerned how to size a design, or photo to fit the mug and it not look distorted. Happy to know about "Edit Pattern" Though it's on backorder - Epson now has a sublimation printer: Sure Color F170 Sublimation Printer - No Conversion - Game Changer!
Love the video! Thank you! I was wondering if instead of using sublimation, if I could use something like printable heat transfer vinyl to get the pictures on there or not!
Te ha quedado perfecta! Yo tengo un problema y es que al sublimar todas las fotos se me oscurecen. La impresión se ve genial pero el resultado final se vuelve mas oscuro. Por que puede ser?
tghank you thank you thank youuuu this is the only info i wanted, i don't cara for "infusible" ink sheets AT ALL, but the cricut mug press seeems if the claims are real, like a dream, i always struggle with my traditional mug press, pressure, time and heat.
Thanks so much for doing this video. Your mug came out beautiful. The colors are so vibrant. The gift giving is endless!! Now I’m thinking 🤔 I need one . 😂
Thank you for letting me know about using pattern fill for photos. I can use the other shapes for the photos. The only thing that is not working is that when I edit it won't save the edit. I'll do all the edits until I like the placement of the picture and then I just X out the edit screen. Am I missing a step? Please help!
Thank you thank you , have ask other reviewing the press and no one did a sublimation one great job I love it quick question it’s on for 6 mins when I only do it sublimation for a few sec in a mug press so it’s ok for the 6 mins thanks
Hi Carole .Thank you very much I benefited from this video very much ,I have a mug press I followed your instructions and worked for me but still the photo is a bit pale . What can I do ? Thanks
I followed your excellent tutorial step by step...I have a Sawgrass 500...My mug came out faded, black ink was faded brown. Although it looks pretty cool, my photograph is faded. I used trupix classic transfer paper by Sawgrass...Please help...one mug already wasted :(
Your tutorial was fantastic! I want a sublimation printer. I see that you are using the Epson ET2720. Where did you get your printer? Any information you maybe able to provide would be appreciated. Thanks!
Your great!!! Thank you! Also O have a question I’m new to sublimation ink I just bought a EPSON 2720 and Printer Jack inc but I have not set it up yet. What else would I need as far as paper to print the pictures on? Also what type or brand sublimation ink did you use? Thanks so much.
After I've printed out my design and i put it in the Cricut to cut out, it cuts out everything separately, the text, the image, the template, etc. rather than just the shape of the template. I've chosen to Flatten the layers/design before I've done this. Is there a way of stopping this?
Wow! You give amazing instructions that even I can follow! Lol. What sublimation printer would you recommend that wouldn’t be crazy expensive? Thank you!
@@CarolesCricutCrafts what do you mean to convert? Can you use the epson printer ET -2720 you mentioned earlier in a post off the shelf. Or you have to convert it ? Can you please describe the equipment that you use and model numbers also the type of paper thank you
Great job!! I have a couple of questions about resizing the strio and the picture. Every time I attempt to resize it goes back to another size . Also is a sublimation printer needed ? Can sublimation paper be used in a regular printer ?
Great video, thank you! Just one question, have you had any problems with discoloration from where you put the heat-resistant tape? Do you have to place it only on the non-printed areas to secure it?
Hey..how did you get your mug wrap white? I am doing the same exact project as you..picture and words, and my cricut keeps cutting the words out separately even though I have flattened it all. It's because my background is clear. Guess I could use the teal portion only buy I see you have the whole mug template white...any idea? BTW, you are amazing! Thanks for all the info!
I tried to put a picture on a mug using my Cricut Mug Press and it didn’t transfer. Did you use a specific sublimation paper? Can’t seem to figure out what I did wrong.
Yes this is almost perfect. But do you have to use the Cricut software? I use Photoshop and Sawgrass has I like to prints to go all the way to both the top and the bottom on the mug.
The Mug Press is powered only by electricity, it is not tethered to any software so you can use any software you want to prepare your image. The size is determined by your preference. I chose to make it smaller.
Hello I’m new to your page !😊 I would like to know what printer you have ? And what items you use ? I want to get myself a printer but I am confused on which one to get Thank you
Will any sublimation mugs work? Or do they have to be only the cricut mugs? I currently do sublimation on a convection oven but I'm tired of the wrap that sometimes it won't close right 🥴
Hi , long time ago i make mug too ,but it not good like you did in this video !,can you tell me what kind of mug you used it ,how much for those mugs ,and where to get it ,thanks
Hi there, can you please tell me roughly how much it costs you to make 1 mug including all the tape and ink you'd use please? Thanks so much. I'm based in NZ and there are limited Cricut shops so i'm trying to find best places to purchase set up costs for making some mugs in bulk. Any help is most appreciated. TY
