Fabulous share...tx Fares... from one of the mannny *Salish Sea mermaids* in PNW South Coast B.C. You truly MUST swim in our majestic sea in your lifetime (PNW B.C. and-or Washington State). Ideally May through Sept. cuz it gets brrrr cold of course. Appreciate if more open water swimming content could be shared. For the first time within the history of Low. Mnld. B.C. we have a outdoor pool open this Fall-Winter. Too warm though at 29 degrees-84 F, would prefer 25 to 27 at the most. We get to swim through snowfalls, high winds, & Atmospheric River events. It is all glorious and right by the open water as well with tons of eagles continually flying overhead.
Been a swimmer (pool and open) most of my life. Played polo in high school and college. If you are a right side breather start the sight when the left hand begins the catch and then go right into your right handed breath. One easy fluid motion. Also trust yourself that you are swimming straight and go more than 6 strokes.
Get an Aquasphere swim mask for open water swimming. I have been using one for a year. There is nothing better for open water. You will actually see where you are going especially if you swim in the morning with the sun lower in the sky. The titanium lens is the best glare reduction
