Men invented, but you show females in the moving film. This is how propaganda is done. It is very subtle but extremely manipulative.

Racist Europeans: ‘these savages look ridiculous in the water. Look at them splashing about!’ Also racist Europeans: ‘we’ve discovered a new method of swimming that is much faster! Look how creative we are!’ 😑

I’m so confused, as to how it took thousands of years of human history to come up with the free style. How were people swimming 300 years ago?

Australian Richard Cavill developed the Australian Crawl first, which charles Daniels added specification of 6 beat kick to. The Australian Crawl was birthed from a swimming style already widely used in the Solomon Islands. Alick Wickham was the Solomon Islander who worked with Cavill in developing the Australian Crawl.

This is totally unrelated to the video but, my coach has decided to put me in the 100 meter fly, I was totally blind sighted. I started swimming six months ago, and I’ve never swam meters. But I’m close to an A time in short course just not in fly... Any tips?

For me personally in practice I wear my goggles over my cap, but during competition I but my cap over my goggles for the risk of my goggles falling off as I dove into the water.

Been a swimmer (pool and open) most of my life. Played polo in high school and college. If you are a right side breather start the sight when the left hand begins the catch and then go right into your right handed breath. One easy fluid motion. Also trust yourself that you are swimming straight and go more than 6 strokes.

Swimming has to be one of rare biological advantages white people have over Africans, taller, wider, (fater) strong, you see how many great swimmers are from North America,Australia,Nz, Europe or white South Africans (Chiniese are good swimmers too)
