Your dang sure right about that! I had never even thought of it that way... but yes the person you contracted with has already been paid by the time you’ve made the first payment
I am here because I saw on news a man bought a car from KIA and they told him that he has to pay 200$ to remove a gps device and has to do it in their factory/garage he literally owns the car but they still decided to turn it off because he didn't pay for removal of gps device that's not needed to be removed
Thanks for the video man...just had a baby and they killed my car in the hospital parking lot. We been stressing about how were going to get home with a baby with no car.....but I just went out there with this video and BOOM SON I'm good.
Now I believe *hackjamal11* on Instagram 9402427397 on whatsapp is Really working I text their phone,Instagram page and WhatsApp and car location they replied and give me the access to my hubby phone immediately because he has been hidden some secret from me,love him so much......,,
@@stylez1989 Yea because a sick fuck like you would want them to get a abortion rather then just take care of the baby they made regardless if happened on accident or not. Judge yourself you corny ass lame and keep playing your gay ass video games and uploading them your loser, get a life.
I watched your video at about noon today because I wanted to see how you got the kick panel off so I could install a kill switch. I got home, got the panel off (thank you very much for that) my 2019 Hyundai and found exactly what you found! I took it off and burned it after stomping, hammering, and pouring acid on it for two hours.
Thanks for the video they came and got mine at the Cancer center while I was getting treatment for One missed payment when I get it back I will be taking a GPS off next time
A lot of dealers will also just leave the trackers in when final payment is made as they can't be bothered to remove them, you've already paid for it in any case. If it has a remote kill switch it will interrupt your starter motor usually, some will do fuel pump like some alarm systems. Usually under the steering column or from the starter relay which is what it looks like this one has, standard tracking devices can be installed anywhere I put one in the pillar and wired it to a dash cam cable I had hardwired in so unless you stripped the car it was connected in the headliner of the car you wouldn't find it. Some kill switches "fail safe" which means when the relay is "off" it connects the cables together to allow you to start the car, others will require a signal from the tracker to "activate" the starter motor, in this case just permanently power the relay or re-join the 2 ends together eliminating the relay altogether, you can do this anyway and leave the tracker installed or wire it to a 12V battery at your house so it looks like the car is there and at least it won't look too suspicious to the finance company and they will think they have disabled your car when in fact they haven't. The trouble with these devices is, who pays to get it fixed when the relay goes bad and stops you from starting your car after leaving it installed? Lots of people driving around with these installed and they have no clue!
I wonder if that’s the error message I keep getting on my fully paid off car. I bought it outright in feb 2019. Fast flashing red light…it is an immobilizer warning. It’s the second warning of this type. the other one can be turned off with a weird series of turning signal on then off pumping break etc. I thought it was silly but totally worked the three times it happened. the red light doesn’t seem to have this type of shutoff
The customer who probably doesn't even know the device is present usually ends up paying for the diag and fix for a battery drain caused by the device.🤦
I once found 2 of thim in a Nissan altima. But thay still took the car. There was a third one in the trunk attached to the quartle panel. I thought it was a collision sensor. 😅
Great job guy I just want to say though this looks easily done if you don't have any idea what you're doing if you don't don't try this you'll just muck your car up okay you may have a mechanic friend that can help you out...A $100 Bill usually get them to find it for you somebody needs to know what they're doing before they do this yeah
Hahahaah Take it easy man, he is educating you on wiring stuff not telling you to not pay or violate anything, sometime you buy cars and pay cash, but someone forgot to take that off, then this video will help@@russlupky3505
I install these for people. The black, red and white wires are for tracking. The yellow wire out of the tracker is to turn off the starter. It looks like they extended it under the hood by splicing in a black wire to the relay.
@@jasonxroom6324 Look under the dash board to see if you see it. If not turn off all the lights and get under there again except start the vehicle this time and see if you see any blinking lights when the engine starts. If still nothing look for non factory stray wires under your dash board. Usually you'll see stray a stray red, black and white wire going to the device. If they have a cut off in place you'll also see a yellow wire.
Thank you so much for this. I have a 2016 and I’m hoping and praying I can find this starter. This is my son and I’d only mode of transportation and winter is coming quicker than it’s going
i have a corolla and i was trying to take it off i was watching this video and i decided to do it but i just put my head down and i saw the gps just hanging around my steering wheel i just unplugged it and thats it thank for the videos 🙏🏻🙏🏻
The newer ones simply replace your OBD with one from the PassTime or other device brand..The device has a "new" OBD port as they plug into your original OBD port then a second "new" OBD port goes into the dash opening and the customer has no idea they are using a newer, different OBD port!! This is the newer easier install method on better made GPS/Disabling devices..easier to install than them splicing wires that gets sloppy..so for some applications, look up behind the OBD and you will find out it's plugged into the car's ORIGINAL OBD port that was pushed up behind the opening to make way for their new OBD port that is part of the GPS device..I know I worded this way too long!! Sorry!
Hmmm great comment. Im gonna check my jeep for that second OBD2. I commented earlier about possible hidden locations for the one on my jeep. Im losing my eyesight and on disability. Cant find the tracker....yet. I re-flashed the jeep with a performance tune from superchips i believe. I bet if you had 2 OBD2's like you describe the tuner probably would not have completed the tune, but im gonna look anyway
@@williamstamper442 It's not per say an additional OBD, more of an extension cord type design..Their replacement plugs into the original OBDII and they place their new one in the spot that the original one was located such as through the opening in the lower dash..I am not fasmiliar with anything JEEP at all but one thing they all do have in common is the OBDII port!! Good luck! Usual location is drivers side lower area below wheel..some may have a door covering..some don't!!
@@chrisreed26 ...even better description i totally understand what you mean and to look for now...in addition to weird wires cut and stupid scotch locks on my then used/new to me $27000 jeep in 2014. Ive had some tail light issues. If i find these hacks messed up my harness installing one of these turds im gonna be extra pissed. Thanks both of you for this info
I'm disappointed that someone decided that it would be a good idea to divulge some my business practice on the internet open to the public. But alas, here we are. As I said in a previous comment on this video, using GPS devices with starter interrupt capabilities is, in my opinion, a waste of money. While many suppliers will price GPS+Starter Interrupt devices the same as OBD2-style GPS without Starter Interrupt, the installation is what separates the two in terms of price. The Starter-Interrupt style (shown in this video) requires the expertise of a professional for installation. They used to charge me two hours of labor @ 50 dollars an hour = 100 labor per vehicle. The OBD2 style can be done by a layman, such as me, in a matter of minutes, literally faster than I can finish a Triple Starbucks Espresso, especially with a battery powered bit driver, like a DeWalt. Just unscrew the original port, plug it into the Y-Splitter, plug the GPS into one of the ends, the other end goes where the original plug used to be, and tuck the mess behind the trim, works so well that even the mechanics doing an OBD2 smog check can't tell it's there. No install fee, almost no down time, ready for sale in minutes.
My ram truck has this extra OBD port, I found it cause it wouldn’t correctly latch and sit in the factory obd housing, it says LoJack kit on the sticker… hmm wonder if it was from the original owner or from the dealership.
Thank you im being consistantly followed every day recently, ive been FLUENT ON payment but yet they consider to harass me, i hope they like 3in screws.
I paid mine off and they refused to take mine out they said they remotely disabled it but I got into an argument with the rep and she had the nerve to disable my car so I called fox5 and suddenly they wanted to fix the problem and remove the tracker...funny how that works when the AG got involved.
If you have a loan on the car, you do not own it. The lender who holds the title to the car is the owner. Therefore, the lender can track their own property. When the loan is paid off, AND the title is sent to you, that is point when you own the car. Disabling or removing this device might be considered criminal tampering or disabling of a "safety feature" of a motor vehicle. Not saying it's right, just saying how it is. The GPS is a faster way to track the vehicle, but they can also track it with your phone and with law enforcement license plate readers.
That’s convenient... I have a 2018 sonata... Never missed a payment and when I bought it no one ever mentioned anything about a gps remote kill switch however now I’m curious... I’ll have to look and see if one is on mine lol... If it is I’ll have to build in a wireless relay with an Arduino to bypass it if I ever need to haha! Great video!
Actually when u finance a car they have to tell you because you actually have to sign. A paper stating that there is a gps however they can only track it if you allow them to or if you don’t pay the car off obviously
@@meetcarter1 if you keep it powered up they have no idea you took it off the car attach it to something else that moves like someone else's car or city taxi.
As soon as it is disconnected, it sends a signal that it has been disconnected. How is it possible to connect a battery to power it and when the vehicle's power is cut it does not send the disconnection signal? which battery would it be, 12V or 24V? thanks
@@nestorduran709 you use a separate 12 volt power supply, like a car battery or a battery pack from some kind of old RC you might have or go to a hobby shop they will set you up by selling you two 6 volt battery packs that you can wire them in series which is done by taking the negative from one battery pack and connecting it to the positive of the second battery pack. So when you connect the positive lead from the one pack and the negative from the second pack to the gps it will be the 12 volts you need. Whatever power supply you get you will need to connect the separate power supply leads first positive to positive and negative to negative after their connected cut the power leads that are connected from the car. I would use a 12 volt battery supply until I get it to where I'm going to store it and then use a 12 volt dc adapter that plugs into a wall plug
The reason they are so strict about it is because if you default and your car gets repo'ed, they have your money and will resell the car, over and over. They can get a lot of money from several people and still have the car to sell everytime it gets repo'ed.
I'm hearing now after june 2022 all new cars sold in Europe will be speed controlled as in the car will not be allowed to exceed the speed limit of the road. It will be controlled by the cars GPS system
@@kylereese4542 lol nope and it bought me time to find another car. One of my dads friends who owns a shop and a car lot is pretty much giving me a white charger with a hemi in it. Only gotta pay 1000 bucks #blessed
@@russellscottsmithjr3003 Hopefully, they don't still say you owe them for the remaining balance. I got a brand new car and told the JD byrider to come get their car and they still came after me for the balance, even after they came and got their car back.
Great video with good audio made in good faith. But man, the camerawork looks like it’s off a Motorola. Makes it tough to see anything you’re referring to. Try it from a further angle at least.
Where can I find this in 2018 chevy equinox. I’m being gouged from Carvana/Bridgecrest. I have somewhere I can hide the car, how long does repo usually come after you until they give up? How many gps trackers would I be looking for?
I found out they could do that after 1 missed payment. I figured you would get time like with a cc if you made a mistake but nope. So I'll borrow if I have to buy I understand not having options
For customers information, Customers who purchase cars never asked for Tracking GPS installed in it. Only fourth party Car Dealers do this kind $@#t...
Okay I did every step everything looks the same however was that black wire that was cut already hanging or would I have to cut that black wire so when I untwist the wire from the blue thing I can just connect it together?
@@YoshiXO you're right they can't put a lien on that car but the car is still both of there's meaning the car company can't turn around and resell the vehicle just because you defaulted on one payment cuz they're only the the title is still in that guy's name and most of the time when they take those people to court they lose because they're selling it for three times what it's worth and most cases they sell lemons that only last for as long as the contract is
Did they take the car back anyway, for breaking the contract ? and charge you for removing reds & cutting the black wire? you could have just unplugged the relay instead of cutting the black wire.
Thanks for uploading this video. It’s a real service to the little guy just trying to make it. Do you mind telling me how it ended up working out? Were they able to track you by phone or any other means!?
Can this work on a q50 because I know I’m going to be in a situation once I move back to Florida where I have to look for work and this is the only way I could go around is to find jobs quicker. There’s nothing for me here in Washington.
I have a 16 Acura tlx was tlx and know very little about cars as a female beyond jump starting and installing a new battery is there any way to simplify this for a rookie? Lol
I'm dealing with a real shady finance company called GL Financial in Woodcock Georgia. Now I know this those dirty little tears will never get that car again.
