I do know that the Xiphactinus also have the ability to swim straight down and straight back up as well, but I didn't feel like that needed to be included. I hope you all enjoy the guide, if you do please consider leaving a like and subscribing if you are not already.

I did not know it could jump that high, that is awesome.

Yeah I think it goes higher than the manta does in gen 1 😂 It would be awesome to do a race course with these guys. I hope they make either an aberration or X type on gen 1. That would be really cool.

Thanks for mentioning the few creatures you did about who can be grabbed. Also looking forward to an alpha mosa fight 😂

Ride a Bary and tail spin to stun the x fish and trap it or shoot it with bow

When I made this video I didn’t even think about the Bary. The bary really is such a good tame. Thanks for that call out. I believe someone else said something similar when I first released the video. Bary for the win.

The fact that they do not torpor run, makes these super easy to tame, on the back of another. I used a Rhynio, but a sarco is a great "cheaper" plan.

Yeah I don’t know why they don’t torpor run, but that’s why I showed both the trap and the Sarco. Everyone prefers taming a little different lol 😂 I hadn’t even considered the rhynio, but yeah the Sarco is cheap and easy. Which is great because you unlock the Xiph saddle in the mid game.

The bary tail spin stuns them, so its easier too shoot them

That is very valid point, I always forget the bary allows you to use tools while mounted, they have a much better turn radius than the Sarco and have the stun, yeah they would definitely be a better option. Good call out.

Are they worth using over Megs for the water caves?

I am currently breeding up some to test that out. I did a poll on the channel with my subs and everyone is voting for what they wanted to see first. Last I looked it was 37% (highest vote) take these guys into the water caves, then 36% take the ceratosaurus into the brood mother fight. My goodness breeding these guys though… they are far bigger than I thought, I had to make a new breeding pen twice 😂😂

@@ChaosBearGaming there's an inland lake not far from the swamp in the north. It's a great natural water pen with only piranhas to worry about. That's where I breed mosas tusos and megs.

"Easiest tame ever" 1. ocean tame 2. A pack can easily kill a mosa 3. You have to kill the pack 4. Requires superior kibble Lol dude.

Lure them to the shallows, and then trap the one you want. And then you can kill the rest. They deal High damage but have about as much health as a wild Sarco that is the same level. You are 100% right though, don’t fight them in the open ocean, they will Mess you up 😂 Also you could use a tuso. Grab the low level ones if you can and they will heal you so it should negate some fo the bleed damage. And then just keep poking at them with the long tentacles and healing and you should be good. I got nothing for the kibble. That high level kibble sucks. But at this point in a play-through most players have it, but if you are starting over or aren’t in the late game then yeah it can be a hassle for sure. Edit: you could always transfer wyvern eggs over for the kibble if you a have a save on scorched earth.
