Could you please do a video in the future for tips and tricks when applying such a stencil and design? I'm sure it would take quite a bit of work to make such a video. Thanks for all the quality content!

Another great video for us to soak up some knowledge 💪🏻 Always a nice surprise jumping on and seeing you gota new clip up . Personally I’d like to see one not necessarily on the fundamentals or technique but more so how you used to mentally prepare yourself. Especially in your first few years after having a grasp on all basics and done your 200th infinity sign or Dani lions . Lol I guess that stage where we baby step into more complicated designs . Love to hear Any mental tips or preparation steps some of us might be overlooking . We all have that one tattoo or style were wanting to try . The ones in “theory “ know we should nail no problem if you hold your tongue juuuuust right but when asked on the spot tend to shy from or put off a week until we draw it 20x and give it our best shot . Then the whole time nervously talking to sweet baby Jesus and Bob Ross praying it all goes accordingly . I mean so far so good with not getting over my head besides some taking an extra sitting maybe . Other than deodorant would love to hear what made ya sweat less during your confidence building stage . Any tips on keeping the chair full with specials or not being a starving artist during the slow spells those first few years your still building a client base . Maybe a few small Easter eggs on shop items “not machines and the gota have obvious tools . I mean the overlooked ones like that certain pen You only buy or helpful nic Nacs you grown to love having around like biscuits n gravy baby 😂 . I apologize gota make these comments fun to stand out lmao Thank you again for the time and effort sharing letting us pick your brain aaand I hope YOU have a nice day ! God speed ninja keep killing it out there

Always love these videos. So much info. The greywash idea is awesome, I asked someone a few weeks ago about stuff like that, he said use bloodlines, but that just seemed like a lot for nothing. I don't know though, I'm new to all this. Thanks!! Hope all is well, take it easy.
@ThatTattooGuyOfficial
@ThatTattooGuyOfficial 2 года назад
I feel like I left some info out but this was a great place to start. And I never really bloodline. Especially if the client is leaving and coming back for a second sitting. I like using my lightest wash to make sure it is visible when they return

@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Yeah, making videos is a fine line. I've done knifemaking videos for about 5yrs. I tend to ramble & overshare. Some like it(mostly the hardcore new guys trying to learn), but a lot of times it gets old quick. Shorter is better most time, wish I could take my own advice, hahaha

Awesome! How to you outline such designs for the stencil? Pls don’t tell me by hand 🤣
@CaseyToland
@CaseyToland Год назад
Awesome video. 2 questions, if you wouldn’t mind: 1. Why do you prefer a longer stroke for dot work? Given how fast your hand is moving, doesn’t it increase the odds of a blowout, as opposed to a shorter stroke that’s more forgiving? 2. When doing dot work, my needle tends to get more debris/skin/lint on it than normal lining due to far more “ins and outs”, which starts affecting the dots and ink flow. What’s your go-to cart cleaning method?

Hey Good sir! Great video, greetings from Norway! I´m doing a background for a sleave with a different geometric pattern, but in the same dot-style with dark graywash. currently waiting for outline healing. After using the vlad blad avenger 2 pro on 5,5 doing other mandalas and such, im curious if the same outcome as this could be possible by say a whipping type motion on low voltage with the vlad blad, for more efficient work. Gotz any thoughts/experiences? I´ve had clients almost tap out while getting large intricate gradient-dotmandalas on their throat, (mostly because of the time it took) after the outline of the stencil i tried whipping the entire thing and it worked wonders and i was done in half an hour. got both the wand liner and avenger, and god damn i love them both. Keep up the amazing work and videos. I love expanding my knowledge when it comes to my work/passion so ur objective views are much appreciated.

hi, I'm enrico, I'm Italian and I'm an apprentice tattoo artist. I wanted to ask you with which needle you mapped the outlines and the size of the dots inside are all made with the same needle or of different sizes. hello and good luck for everything

@ThatTattooGuyOfficial

Geo patterns isn’t something beginners should try to tackle. You should learn the basics first. I would say tell your mentor what your goals are and they can push you in the right direction depending on where you are at with learning.

Been tattooing for 8 years a better way to make a not messy stencil make just you’re line drawing for a stencil and your hatched stencil for a shading reference taped either to your chair your leg the client of a lamp The stencil material (the purple ) will stick to itself if you wipe it off which will end up carrying parts of your stencil you didn’t want to wipe off not last as long
