I hope you enjoyed this video on teaching vocabulary to K-2 students! I shared more ideas in the video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wD_P146WR90.html
I teach ELLs, and what you provide is a meaningful strategy to use in my classroom. I love listening to you, because you are pointing clearly at the pits and pieces of the daily struggle.
These are great ideas! I have really wanted to incorporate more vocabulary instruction for my K-1 students. I will be using these for the remainder of this year! I’m moving to sixth grade next year and I already see ways to use these strategies with bigger kids too! Thank you for your amazing tips!
Please elaborate with more videos like these! This information was wonderful and I can really see the different ways I can grow my kids comprehension alongside their vocabulary. We are a multilingual home so I’m always looking for good videos on ways to implant and grow their vocabulary and comprehension!!! 🥰
I am so happy to have found your site, my son has a syndrome and struggles with reading, so I am going to be implementing your tips on teaching phonics and phonemes
Great ideas shared at a great pace for adult educators! (If you're a K-3 teacher, most of what she shared is likely prior knowledge.) Would love to see more vocab activities! Wish I had some of these when I first started teaching!! Thank you!
This is a great video! I’ve been thinking a lot about how to amp up vocabulary instruction in my 1st grade classroom and this helps a lot. I would love to see more videos on vocab. Thank you!!
Yes, please make more K-2 vocabulary videos. These ideas were great. Can you do a video where you model the use of one of the semantic games? Also, How many words would you recommend teaching to a kindergartener at one time? How often should the word be reviewed over the course of a week etc?
Thanks for the great ideas! I would love to see more Vocabulary videos like this one. I teach small group Reading Intervention and comprehension is a big part of that.
What theory of reading do these examples follow. Have an assignment and need to know how the 6 elements are taught in top-down, Bottom up, transactional theory and critical theory.
Do you make and sell copies of your multiple-meaning triangle matchups? That sounds like something some of us wouldn't make but would love to buy from you
I also am looking for spelling words for grade 2 and how to teach those words. I was a member of your literacy club and math club but unfortunately I was not able to renew them due to some payment failure and I lost the membership. Trying to rejoin ever since but unable to join as it says I will be notified when there is an opening. I would appreciate if you can look into this also so that I can rejoin. THanks a lot for your service.
hi mam I am a big follower of your videos and of course get lots of tips. I am wondering how to pick words to teach vocabulary to a 2nd grader? Do I have to make the student read a passage and pick a word from that particular passage or should I follow any grade specific premade list of vocabulary words? Please help me in this regard. ALso if there is any grade specific words that I should follow to teach vocabulary please advice me on the words which I have to use. Thanks.
