Because people get attached to each other, we start seeing our exes as the one and only option. Only when the bond is severed, we notice we may be more compatible with others. That's when people start asking themselves, "what did I even see in him/her?"

Abdelhaq, I know it's hard at times like this. The best thing you can do is show it doesn't bother you. You won't know she wants to talk to you if she remains blocked. I would unlock her and wait for her to make a move first. It will happen when you least expect it.

No contact is the only way to get over them. But you have to give up on thinking they'll contact you. Nearly always you'll never hear from them again. It really hurts, but it's true.

All of my exes (3) that have broken up with me have contacted me once in No Contact. It’s not true that they don’t contact you. I’m 3 for 3! You have to give it time. In all cases I was over them and moved on once they contact me to try and reconcile.

He did ask my dad how i'm doing now a couple of weeks ago, but that's it. He's still with the new girl he started seeing right after me and he's still not reaching out. He's just over me. And happy with his life without me I guess. He litterally does not want me in his life, and my abscense makes no difference. I think it just makes him happier to be honest wich sucks.

Hi. His excessive happiness is expected to last for a few months. It's true he doesn't want you in his life right now. Most dumpers don't. This doesn't mean it will always stay this way. I don't want to give you any hope but he can just as quickly become sad. Best wishes.

It’s been a little over a month since the break up, and it would have been 3 years together on the 23rd of feb.. So far I’ve only seen 1.5 signs.. I found out by her family that she doesn’t seem herself, she’s kinda closed off to everyone and seems to be trying really hard to act happy. And she’s always posting selfies of her being happy and how great her life is and how awesome her friends are. Maybe she’s trying to make me jealous? Idk all I know is I hope no contact works for me. Even if She doesn’t reach out and I don’t get her back.. I just wanna be happy again this is killing me..

I’ve been NC for 10 days. Last phone call was nice with her saying she’s having a bad day and “Speak soon”. Decided to call it a day after that. All I’ve got in those 10 days is her starting a campaign over the last 3 days of posting “memes” on social media about “moving on” and “the only regret you have is not having the relationship you could have”. Mm so guess she’s keen to show she’s no longer having bad days lol!

Vivek Nair well 14 months on from the break on a maintained NC for a year (bar snooping the odd Facebook post ha). I sent a message after a year just as a “how are you let’s catch up”. I didn’t know what I wanted just more to break the spell of easing the tension in my mind. It went well we exchanged a chat for a day and then that was it. She’s got a new BF. I don’t regret that message actually even 4 months later. I still have days where I’m wracked with loss but then 70 percent of the time I’m grand. It’s just the natural process I’ve accepted it’ll take time as it was 10 years, but it does get better when I look back to where I was a year ago.

My ex has me blocked on everything except Facebook messenger. I don't have my facebook active. We have the same friend group. Im thinking about contacting her after 45 days. I owe her some money after I needed help with a tight spot I was in. I'm in no contact it's been over a month and all I've gotten form her so far is -bad mouthing -dressing differently (wearing stuff I didn't like her wearing) -dating new people I can't really tell where she's at emotionally or is she talks nicely about me because I never asked anyone and no one never tells me about it. you think no contact will work for me? (the day on the break up I asked if she still wanted the stuff animals and love letters I gave her during the relationship and she said their were gifts so she's not giving them back too me) does that mean anything?

No contact will work for you. What she needs is A LOT of time to work through things. Her becoming unrecognisable to you is because she's in the relief stage. The less you know, the better. This means no stalking her on social media or asking about her. Technically she's right about the gifts. If she decides to keep them, it certainly is a plus for you.

Xxx Tentacion Don’t reach out to her for whatever reason, no birthdays, holidays or even a death in the family. Don’t view their stories on instagram or snapchat, no liking her posts. I would unfollow her to avoid seeing any of her content. Your presence is the most valuable thing you can give to someone and she doesn’t deserve that right now. Since she is the one that dumped you, she has to be the one to earn YOU back.

Ex got in touch around 2 weeks after the break up. She had gotten in touch with a mutual friend to see how I was before getting in touch with me directly. I invited her over, we drank together and made out. She even gave me a gift she had wanted to give me. She got in touch again a few days later, I asked her out again. She got in touch later that same day. I haven’t heard from her in about a week though, which isn’t confusing.

It could be. It depends on their detachment. What matters is how stable the new relationship is. You don't want to know, so don't stalk or anything like that.

Hi Magnet Of Success, I’ve been with this girl for 2 & 1/2 years. She left a month ago today. She told me the day before leaving me that she wanted to move at my place because she loved me so much, but we had a small argument the next day and she stopped all contact. She blocked me on Instagram, and unblocked me 2 weeks later, for me to found out she’s now openly dating this dude from her job. Im still in no contact to this day, and knowing she had some codependency anxiety problems, I guess she’s very happy to already have a new guy that looks just like me in her life. I was a wreck, but now, even i miss her, I slowly start thinking that I dont want her to reach out to me. I want a build a better me even if its hard and when Im not busy i only dream about her. What do you think i should do?🤔🤔

Hi. You should proceed with the plan to better yourself in every possible way. Since you can't control what she does, you can use this time to make a few healthy improvements. Try not to worry about what she is doing. Stay off social media because it's going to hinder your recovery. Also, stay strong as a rock, and never do anything impulsive that would set both of you back. It's more about what you shouldn't do, rather than do at this point. It's not your time to act. She has to want to speak to you first, so enjoy your own life until she is ready to speak.

Its been 1 month and a half. All i know is that she asked 2 of my mutual friends how I m doing ( and they both said I was doing quite bad which I dont think helped at all, they just boosted her ego I guess). That was 2 weeks after the break up. Since then nothing Ive heard about. She never views my stories on insta or snapchat. She looks pretty happy, doesnt look like she s sad or miserable at all ( we kinda see eachother everyday, same college). Dunno what to think about it.

I would think about it this way. She's just another person that doesn't care. Fortunately for you, you are better off without those who pay no attention to you. A lot of people are selfish and self-centred, and she was no different. She gave you the green light to find a caring person - one who will want to be with you. And trust me, you will find her. It's only a matter of time.

Magnet Of Success no. Well it’s working for her lol! It’s been 10 days, if anything she appears to be going the other way! positing memes about moving on, she’s starting a new job and moving to my home country in August so she’s been posting a lot about “new beginnings/out with the old” type stuff. I’m fearful that she’s got 8 months of looking forward to a new beginning that will override her feeling low enough to come back. And also fearful that she’ll move, start the new career and meet a man. She’s made a real big deal out of ditching our ten year rele and moving this year for this new job (she turns 30). I posted my full story on your blog in the “dumpers regret article”. It’s a bit long lol Although 10 days NC we’ve been broken up 5 weeks. Had a period of phone calls. Just chatting and returning her furniture. All pleasant. I didn’t plead in the classic sense, just during those calls out out feelers to see if she’s having regrets. There were ups and downs but she started to sound resolved so I left it be on the last phone call. She ended it “speak soon”. And I took that as good time to start NC.

So I did NC for a month then contacted her. She told me she still loved me and missed me and wanted to get back together and dumped her rebound that night. I am out of town for another two months (the reason we broke up, I left for bootcamp after a year together. Its been 4 months, when I return I'll be back for good.) After a few days the rebound texted her to come get his stuff and after he got there she decided she acted rashly and went back to him. I think me still being out of town had a lot to do with that. I told her to do what she needed to do and resumed no contact. We departed on good terms and she still loves me however the circumstances are obviously weird. After two weeks of NC she randomly blocked me on some things but not everything. I don't know what to think. Did I blow things by getting back with her so soon after reestablishing contact? Is this her getting serious about the rebound? Is this just a hiccup or another "bump in the road?" Do you have any guidance?

My advice would be to simply remain in NC. When you get back from bootcamp and are more available to her, perhaps she will see things differently. Until you are physically there, she won't budge. The problem is that she broke up with you because of the distance, and doesn't want to wait. Even if you were to get back together, what are the odds of the same event recurring in the future? Her commitment to you has to change, so really think twice if you want her back when her rebound fails. They probably had a hiccup, she wanted to run back to you, he begged her, she changed her mind and there's your story.

@@MagnetofSuccess Thank you. I am confused how her commitment changed so fast. She was so committed and loyal during our relationship. She seems to know how shitty she acted and how terrible what she did was and seems legitimately sorry and upset she did it. Even regretful. And she missed me very much during NC, she posted on her finsta about it regularly and saved my letters I sent her from bootcamp and the posts she made about missing me before she sent me the Dear John letter. However, despite all that she remains unable to try to work with me. Also, what sense does her blocking me recently make? She blocked me on some things but not all of them? And totally out of the blue. I don't try to contact her. It doesn't seem to make sense.

Hi Adam. Ex's behaviour changes in an instant the moment they no longer want us. It goes from hot to cold faster than you can say "ouch". This is why persisting to get back together is a bad idea as it only makes things worse. Her blocking you was either a self-defence mechanism to attempt to move on with her life or perhaps her new boyfriend pressured her after almost getting dumped. The fact that she left some ways of communicating open, normally means you aren't out of the game completely and haven't pushed her away. It's best you let her rebound play out on its own. You mustn't try to interfere.

@@MagnetofSuccess Thank you again. It means too much for words. Im not trying to interfere, I want her to work things out on her own so if we do make it work its healthy. I Dont think her blocking me was pressure from the bf, I think it was more likely self defense. How does that play into the game plan of waiting the next two months to try to see how things play out and let the rebound run its course? Her and I had a good relationship, we parted on amicable terms, she showed many signs of missing me up until the rebound incident a few weeks ago. I didn't act needy or desperate after the split and she seems to be aware that her relationship is a rebound and also that she still has feelings for me. Judged off your knowledge, would our chances be good?

Your chances right now are dependent on the success of the rebound and your physical presence. This relationship has to come to an end for her to realize the importance of the previous one. I think you will hear more from her when she becomes disappointed, hurt, abandoned, etc. If your relationship was otherwise functional, I don't see why she wouldn't come back in the future. You must keep your cool at all times and stay in NC for that to happen. Avoid break-up mistakes at all cost!

I had been in no contact for just over a Month. She texted me to check if I was "Doing well or Still sad" and told me she was doing fine. I replied, but then resumed NC. After another month, I broke NC to wish her a Happy Birthday and she replied that she felt good talking to me. This happened recently. I resumed NC Again. Maybe in another month we'll get back to talking terms. Thanks Magnet Of Success for all your help. I've read a lot of your articles and all of them helped me get over her atleast, and improve myself, if not to get her back.

Sounds like a rebound. Marriage in such a short time, might be a big failure. You can hope he'll regret it one day when there will be a divorce but I'd say you just should move on and forget about it. Not worth anymore! Find another one whos not such a fool

After two months she dated a guy and got dumped one month later, 1,5 month if breadcrumbing me she begun to date another guy where i disapeard from her face totaly, the relationship lasted 2,5 month and at the last two weeks she was so miserable that she told my best friend how she cant even eat! Abd during these 2 weeks she asked about where iam in normal manner. She ended the rebound about 10 days but not contacted me! She changed her relationship status to singel but i know she cant and not ready to date since she went thru this breakup looking like gost! What to expect ? Magnet Of Success yeah idk like I broke up with her but then she still said she loved me and I was the only one for her and we hung out again after we broke up and then 4 days later she was with this coworker of hers and then started acting totally different towards me

@@MagnetofSuccess- I got my ex on a rebound, and after 8 months she declared her love still for her ex (a married man) and basically went back to him as his hore, and told me I shouldn't tell him I had been bonking her. In her head, there was no relationship between us, even though we had sexual relations!

1 month and a half and still no contact. I'm working hard at gym, improving my needy fails during the relationship, hanging out with friends... And basically working on my future. She moved to my town after 1 year distance relationship, we started living together as she wanted. After 1 month and a half she started being avoidant and & started being needy. Now (for friends of mine that talked to her) she burned out and also started to like a lot another boy from his new job (pizzeria) while living with me. She tried something with this boy after breaking with me, but at the end the boy refused her xD.. Now she is living with a coworker (20 years old and my ex 23 years old) and she started to smoke weed, going party almost each weekend, drinking from mid day until night during the week, hanging out with people she would never... I think she is influenced or something... Maybe lost (but she seems like this "freedom". She look like a totally different person and also toxic. She is not the girl i used to love anymore. I don't feel ready to start anything with anyone as i loved her so much and i am now recovering... I don't know if one day she will look back and think what a future she lost for not communicate her feelings, trying to find a solution and just avoiding me being concerned that i was suffering.. Even her mum said to me.. "Be strong, you will find someone who worth being with a boy like you. She is so inmature". What do you think? No contact for ever...? Run away from this toxic girl without future?

Hi Quim. No contact is the way to go, as it will allow you to keep focusing on that which matters the most (you). Your ex got the grass is greener syndrome when she started liking the attention she received, and broke it off with you in hopes of branching onto her next victim. I don't know what you want to do with her later, once you've recovered fully. If it were me, I'd say goodbye to her forever, and look for real love elsewhere.
