I hope i can hold like that things someday.. coz now i have just a UL ROD and i kept my sallary for 2 months just to have it..and i bought it in lazada.. coz here in philippines fishing equipement is too xpensive.. and a poor like me is a dream to have a fishing tackle.. thats why we used bamboo.. thats why i save my sallary just to buy a rod.. fishing is my fashion my stress reliever.. and my in my family source of food.
Hi Pete. I started tying this knot with 2 loops around the eye and really like how it comes out. Have you ever tried tying it like that? Thanks for your video!
Perfect! I'm a flouro fan over wire.... This was really good: I went from clueless to having a small clue now :) :) Good video, good stuff, no fluff (fluff bores me- seriously)
Interesting, I just do the 3 wraps up and back through the hole. Give it a try, way less bulk and it never fails. Would be keen to see how you do a loop knot. I tie a simple overhand knot, go through the lure eye, tag back through the overhand knot (make the loop where the lure is your desired size) Tag once around the mainline then back through the overhand knot, tighten. When I learnt these knots they more more complex but over the years I have removed various steps so It's just the bare bones remaining. Now they are way smaller and simpler. As long as the mechanics of it are still present, It's all good!
Good stuff! I used to do exactly what you do and you're right that works good. I actually kind of like a little more bulk since invisible anyway and just in case any teeth would hit the knot more protection
yes and no. I've caught plenty of musky and pike using a heavy mono leader but after just 1 fish, if they inhale the lure, it will completely compromise the leader and it will need to be replaced.
