This is a great video! Just tinted the back window on my 2009 TSX using this video. It came out perfect! I used precut Llumar CTX file. Your tip on letting the dryer sheet dry all the way before placing the tint on and then making sure all the fingers are vertical made all the difference.

Thanks a bunch for the videos. Im prettt mechanically inclined and i do a bunch of work on my vehicles my self but tint has allways been one of those things that i would never attempt my self but after watching your videos and having you explain how its done. You are my Hero!! Those headrests were super high and you got that tint in there and worked around them. wow. I remove the headrests. Even one's that aren't removable will come out, you just need to know where the c-clip is and shove a hanger down in there.

I did this with a hair dryer. No creases just took forever as I had to hold the dryer right up against the tint which caused it to overheat a couple of times (I really need to invest in a heat gun). I’m happy to say my first attempt came out perfectly with no creases at all. Thanks

These vids are awesome man. Ive been tinting for 6 months now and every night i get o youtube to see what i can do better. To the people that are asking what temp to run the heat gun, i run mine on the hottest it can go. But you have to be carefull. Burning tint can easily be done. Mess around with the setting on yoiur gun and see what you feel comfortable with! The hotter, the faster the tint will shrink and can have a higher chance at creasing.

I have been studying this vid and your technique and I finally got a good shrink on the top half of my car, got it to lay down perfectly flat all around. I'm doing it in two pieces and now the bottom is giving me problems. I think it's creasing because I'm hitting the tint that isn't hot yet. Maybe going a lil to fast. This video helped a TON though. I'm still working at it.

The light trick is great. I was wondering how i was going to see where to cut. I was going to do it the super hard way with measuring. I have a 2015 200s and the bottom was going to be difficult as it has curves. But this was will make it easy. Thank you.

Great videos I have learned lots form you, Question about dot matrix on back windows do you just cut on the edge of the matrix or try and cover it so you dont see the white line around the glass. Im having a hard time with the dots im either to far into it and it won't stick or not enough where I can see light or white border and tips

Do you have to sand or prep the De-Frosters on back windows to prevent the tint from peeling? I seen some guy sand them or prep them so they weren’t so smooth so the adhesive will bond better.

i just bought pre cut tint from ebay. i instpected it to see its all there and the right % then rolled it back up into the tube. this is my first tint job so im learning all i can before i commit to doing it. im doing this because the shops in my area want atleast $250.. well i spent $25 for the tint so.. but id like to see the process and get info before applying. 3% baby shampoo and the rest distilled water? or is regular tap water ok too? also my 2 back door windows dont roll down so im not sure how im going to do this.

Sorry for answering your question even though it wasn't addressed to me. I think he does it the same way just cuts out excessive film from outside using the light from inside 1:08 and then from 2:13 to 3:15 and when you are done shrinking just go along the edges of the stop light. It's just a guess. I can be wrong but i would do it this way.

Cool technique. For your rear installation, have you tried a cross starting from the middle? I've noticed it helps lay the film easier, especially on more curved rear windows. I did your method but noticed sometimes tension was created at corners of window. Again this is on more curved rear windows like a 2 door cobalt, especially for older corvette "superman" rear windows. How long you been tinting bro? You do an excellent shrink.

@TintStuff Do you have a tutorial on how to wet shrink the tint? If not do you know where I could find one? And what I meant be my last question in the previous comment was when I'm all done shrinking the tint does the side of the tint that was the adhesive side absolutely have to be facing the plexiglass, or is there a way to make it stuck to it otherwise? I was thinking maybe the kind of solution used to molecularly bind plexiglass could be used to bind plexiglass to the tint.
