How to Tint a Frameless Window 

I really hate how experienced tint installers make it look so easy. Everytime I do it I swear I'm never going to tint anything again!!

Love your vids, FYI. As far as cars that have the windows that go down automatically when you open the door. I would disconnect the battery just to make it a little easier than having to hassle with the door latch. Although I would only do that on a car that's dealer owned and not someones personal car cause then they'll have to back and reset everything which I wouldn't see going to well.

Nice video..!! I do it almost exactly the same the only difference is after I have shrunk the fingers I leave the pattern on any door as is..this way it is still overlaping the everything by about an inch and there is no risk of any particle dripping down to the film from the frames or car body..Then remove the liner from there and transfer inside..I do it with every door..Keep knocking them cars out good job!!

im glad you posted this one man.. im doing an srt8 this sunday.. i was a little concerned on how to handle the automated window.... what i dont understand is.. will it screw the job up when i shut the door?? i always tell my customers not to roll the windows down for at least 24 hrs so the glue can cure.. of coarse the heat gun is a mans best friend in this situation .. any thoughts?

when do you shut to the door? the seals hit it as it closes...will that peel back?

You need to heat all the edges, so that it doesn’t peel when you close the door. I do 4 inches at a time for about 10 seconds per section. This will speed up the drying process so when you close the door it will not peel. I usually remove the door panels so I don’t have to worry about it peeling from the bottom. But i still heat all the way around. I usually do the front doors first and let them dry for about 20-30 minutes before closing the doors. This will ensure no peel in the tops when the windows shift when you close them

@zztop5911You are thinking of either the Challenger Shaker Ram Air Hood or the Mopar T/A Hood. The real deal is about $1,250 for a new functional Challenger hood, or you could get a stick-on non functional hood scoop for a couple hundred

What is the proper way to do the back window so there aren't thin lines of air pockets on the top and bottom of the rear defroster??

after it's finished...will the tint be messed up with the windows rolling down and up on their own?

I had trouble getting the bubbles out of the bottom :/

hey i have a question i have a reg cab truck (2door) and i have limo tint all around but my interior is beige so it looks kinda light in their will a visor make it darker ?

When u cut all your tint do u have any tint to tuck into the front seal or just for the bottom seal

The way i do it is, I squeege the top first, and then get inside the car and finish the bottom.

how much do you charge for a job like this?

blue max is meant for pressing out water not a squeegee, door panel and seal are soaked... not good

@TintStuff Yea its very difficult at night but i rarely drive at night and would putting another layer of limo tint on the back window make it darker:) ? Or What percentage do you recommend to put on the windshield?

your getting lots of water into the window seal on the inside of the door side. isn't that a problem?

words of advise its best to remove door panel for these cars and camaro the seal is very tight and it just gonna keep lifting the tint at the bottom every time you open and close the doors

Would a hair dryer work just as well?
