How to Tint front windows | Grand Cherokee 

@@sambeauxfulkerson7892 Tint can be a tedious art. Definitely takes a little practice so messing up a few times is no big deal. Glad to hear the video brought some value.

That’s exciting. The Grand Cherokee is pretty straightforward so I anticipate it’ll go great! A blow dryer isn’t going to reach the temperatures a heat gun can achieve for shrinking and drying the film. In a pinch you’ll probably get by since the side windows don’t require much shrink to install but in a general sense it’s not ideal.

Yea! Super cheap and I just cut them at an angle. Flexible and tapered to slide through gaskets easy.

Hey. Since my preferred install method is bottom loading with gasket removed, I final heat on the inside after the film is in place. Alternatively, the 2-stage install method leaves the gasket in place and requires the film to be tucked in behind the gasket so it is ideal to pre shrink the film to ensure it tucks into place easily. I like the Blue Shop Towels. They work well and don’t leave a bunch of lint. Other than that just regular microfiber towels for general clean up.

@@TunersCanvas Thanks! Going to tint my Jeep when the weather warms up. Having trouble finding a good towel that doesn't leave contamination behind when wiping.

@@TunersCanvas Been doing alot of research. It's been about 10 years since I last tinted windows. I do have a couple question. What is the main squeegee you use? Is it a blue Max? I have an EZ reach and a lil Chizler in my cart. I was thinking about going with the turbo yellow. Any suggestions?

@@Puddles1001 I do use the Blue Max for final clean and initial squeegee. The EZ is good for tight gaskets but be careful it will scratch the tint. I personally take a bondo spreader which is cheap from an auto parts store and cut it diagonal. Works great for the side gaskets. I haven’t had a turbo yellow but ironically was looking at ordering one earlier today. Seems like it would be good for smaller windows like the quarter glass behind rear doors.

Hey. Thats good info! I haven’t really tried on any vehicles to just work the top but now that you say that I’ll start watching for it moving forward. Just pop the clips back and lift out the gasket I’m guessing?
