Amazing video. I just had my bmw towed and they did not do any of this. The company could get not get into the car so they towed it by the arms of the car and bent everything so bad there is over $10,000 of damage to the suspension, alignment, etc. And they did not take any pictures. It’s a big mess right now. Amazing video your the first not to take any shortcuts
Cold and bold ✊🏿💪🏿 keep it going. I am surprised that you rolled it off the bed though versus winching It off I know it's more time consuming but at least you know it's not going to go anywhere as far as if the bed is not tilted all the way
The key is lifting the bed up as much as possible to not have to bed smack the bottom of the car also another car sits up high enough that it would’ve never came into contact by rolling it down
I would just j hook it from underneath that's too much work using the bumper things those are so unsafe but it was helpful for those they didn't know this was a good video though
No man when you talking about a BMW there's nowhere to hook it unless you have axle straps which is not recommended when you have a tow hook available. The reason being all of those bumper hooks may not be the best they're your best of friend when it comes to damage claims they can't claim anything was done underneath if you grabbed it from the front and with BMWs those plastics are not cheap
@@Fasttowpro that's probably true I haven't towed a BMW yet but if I do it'll be from the back underneath like I do the Volkswagen Jetta I just don't trust the hook my buddy just had one fall off the deck last week and hit an R8 lol talk about a bad day two cars too bad he didn't get that on the camera but he was hooked to that front hook good thing for insurance and nobody was in either car that was the best thing about everything but you're right it could damage the front plastic things if towing it from the front I don't know if you can tow the BMW from the rear I've never looked under one that tow hole might be the only thing but I use my j hooks for everything
I appreciate that buddy. Unfortunately with BMW. The way the control arms are designed underneath, It will not allow you to use J hooks without causing damage to the front bumper or inner fenders. Because a control arms are up very high in the thumper and in their fenders hang really low. At least on this car
@@towtrucktherapy448 what about using the clusters in the frame you suppose that would work I'm just trying to get around using the hooks in the front bumper I just don't trust them but I guess I'll have to use the hook in the front bumper because like both of you guys said it was screw the bumper up this was a good video that he put out
@@junkyardhillbilly unfortunately on most cars that have the bumper attachment any holes on the frame are more than likely going to be single wall which could potentially end up in ripping the frame.
