Do you have a thorough start to finish training dvd? I am wanting to get a GSD and properly train him properly in personal protection and would like to be well educated before I get the dog and begin training.
I have always wanted to train in protection work and sport, always been a dream. I recently put down a deposit on a mal pup and my dream is becoming a reality. I personally find your videos the best and most informative, I am watching your phase 1 puppy video with the Shepard female pup. Where can I get the leather strap you used?
Hey haz why is he repeating the out command when he doesn’t let go? Aren’t you supposed to just give the command once and in case he doesn’t let go just say no, and keep applying whatever pressure you’re applying?
Are you using continuous or tapping on the transmitter button? I know the sound box is intermittent. Does the sound go continuous if the button is held continuous?
Is true police K9s don’t do “out”? I saw a demo recently and the dog had no out but was handed a piece of pvc pipe (in trade) in order for him to let go of the decoy.
What do you feed your dogs? Has it already been covered? My bad if so. Been watching your videos just began recently and love your commitment and the knowledge you share
Hi. I watched one of Haz’s videos and was hooked immediately. Can’t get enough of the dogs, Haz’s knowledge and training just to name a few. So interesting. I live in Florida and found out the residents can support K-9’s via our automobiles. 😀 Click the link below to learn more. www.k9sunited.org/florida-license-plate
At high levels of engagement, No doesn’t go through sometimes….e-collar is a more effective way to convey “hey im saying out!”.. and saying no just confuses the dog imo.. say u said “OUT” then “No”… just too many verbals for a dog thats on high stimulation to comprehend.. “Out” must be clear cut and u don’t want the dog to associate Out to No.. if he’s not well trained, imagine he bites someone and that person says “no!” and ur dog outs lol
