For anyone else stuck on the connection part: - turn on your pixel 8 and keep it in the "getting started" screen. - make sure your old phone has bluetooth on, location/gps on, wifi is connected (i had a Samsung Galaxy S8+ Android 9.0). - turn on / restart your samsung and keep home screen open. - now tap "getting started" on pixel 8. - a notification window should just pop up on your samsung. - tap "android/pixel device" on pixel 8. - tap "set up" on samsung. - QR code will now show up in pixel 8. - QR scanner in samsung can now scan for the QR code. - follow the rest of the instructions.
