What about your wallpapers in your lock screen?,? When my old phone? In. Themes under? My stuff. Everything is there, In my new phone apps clock all good but it doesn't have the lock screen or the wallpaper. Technically should it bring the wallpaper from the old phone over?
i have stuff in my secure folder on images and notes. does this transfer over to the new phone as well? and for star marked/favorites on samsung internet, will it save those over to the new phone as well? does it also back up data from games that might be on the phone too?
Sadly i didnt. So before my other phone lost charge, i made sure to screenshot all notes on my old phone in the secure folder and send it to myself regardless if its on discord or google drive or whatever. Just somewhere i could send to myself with no one else seeing, then write them in my new book for passwords, and then delete the screenshots As for the photos, no luck. My phone died just as i got the screenshots for the passwords sendt over. Sucks with the pics. But at least it couldve been worse @@Suhana_30.12 Just FYI. The other phone stopped taking charge out of the blue. So i was on very limited time at that point to get things sendt over. Not all the normal notes made it either. But most of them did
I had a LG G3 and a galaxy s7 and a s21 but I found pictures from the LG G3 on the galaxy s7 in addition to s7 pics but no pics from s21 and on the s21, i found pics from the LG G3, the s7 in addition to pics taken with the s21. On the LG G3, I only found pics taken with the Lg G3 plus a couple pictures taken with the xiaomi mi max in the /Downloads folder on the LG G3. I have no explanation for this other than....that maybe my brother made samsung smart switch transfer from the LG G3 to the galaxy s7, then made a s7 backup to PC....then transferred data from the s7 to the s21 using smart switch...and then made a s21 backup to PC using smart switch. Is this correct reasoning ? I have no other reason for this mess up backups
Can I smart transfer after I already use my new samsung device. Will it remove my things I already added to it so it can add what I have from my old phone.
Is this before or after you install the sim card? I transferred my data to the new phone without thy sin card. But once my days transferred I put the sim in thy me phone and followed the process and I lost all my data on the new new phone. So do I reset the new phone back to factory and start all over or just over all over without the reset? Thank you
This maybe a stupid question but after you transfer do you have same email address to ? When I tried mine I had to set up a email address again on new phone
It does not have to be brand new Samsung Galaxy. I just transferred my data from my old iphone to Samsung after using it 9 months. No problem at all. You can choose to transfer over WiFi and it may take 20-30 minutes depending on the speed of your WiFI.
Does this include transferring media files from text messages as well? I've had it where only the sms texts transfers but no files that were attached to the messages.

@@VarietiesTeck I have seen it, but I am switching from an s10+ (which has an Sd card) to an s23 (which does not have a Sd card slot). I want to transfer the normal data from the old phone AND that on the SD card to the new phone. Is it possible ?
Although this is a brilliant system the most obvious fault I find and I cannot understand why they do not updated is that the Smart switch app just says transferring data it does not say sending or receiving, I've almost had heart failure a couple of times when I think I have updated my old phone with new phone history?!?
