I’ve had that happen too. You can go over it again with a damp cloth or sponge. Just press the damp cloth down to let the surface absorb some moisture and then gently rub. Be careful not to rub too hard or the photo will start to come up. It helps to work in small sections. I hope this helps!
Thank you so much, was wondering how to put my parents photo that passed away on a bench , question though can you seal it with like gloss of some sort for a clear coating and protection? I will be putting it outside in a memorial garden.
Hi Marg. I’m so sorry to hear about your parents. That must be so painful, and you’re a good person to want to honor them this way. I would be afraid that the photo might fade outdoors with this method even if you seal it, to be honest. I wonder if you could find someone to engrave their image on a plaque for an outdoor bench? I’ve done other engravings with words, but I’m sure someone could take a photo and engrave an image. Etsy might have some good options. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
I’m so sorry to hear about your dog. 😞 Yes, I don’t see why you can try a poly sealer. You may just want to research it before to see if it causes any yellowing. Good luck to you!
This image transfer medium is specifically meant for photo transfer, so you may not get the same results with Mod Podge Matte. Yes, acrylic paints would be great for background painting. That’s what I use. Hope this helps!
Yes, it’s a good idea to sand the wood first so you can get a smooth application. You’ll have a harder time removing the paper layer of the photo if the wood is uneven.
I had them printed on a laser jet printer at FedEx. I believe it’s a standard paper they use, nothing special. It just has to be laser printed instead of printed on an inkjet.
The photo transfer will look a little rustic with this method because the ink is transferring. Some paper residue may make the image look a little pale, but you can also paint a top coat of regular Mod Podge to brighten the image and seal it.
This is what I suggest: amzn.to/3Ki7cBE. Everything I used is in the description of the video in case you need it. Just click “more” to see the full description.
I think I left my transfer on too long… The others came out perfect but the othwere left a couple of days due to work the paper has come off but its left a white stain 🤦🏻♀️
@@FirstDayofHome unfortunately as I'm only using text It wouldn't work, never even thought that leaving a few days would cause an issue ha ha I was making some coaters so need to re do 10
@blackwidow5105 I hope it works out for you! Sometimes it takes a few tries to get used to it. I’m sure others will learn from your experience too. Good luck to you!
Unfortunately you can’t use regular photo paper with this product. The image needs to be printed on a laser jet printer to prevent bleeding. I hope this helps!
