How To Turn A Screen Recording Into A MP3 On iPhone 

If any of you don’t see the blue circle icon like I did, there is an “i” (short for info) icon on the bottom, hope this helps :)

If you have iOS 16, you will need to search “share” instead of “save file”. Once you go to your gallery and upload to shortcut you can save it wherever you need to. 😊

To all the people who dont see "audio converter" when your trying to convert it to an mp3, restart/power off your phone then try again, thats what helped me

I did everything but when I press the share button it does not show my short cut. There are no options for my short cut. I re watched this several times and I don’t know what’s the problem.

Helpful video, I didn’t know the shortcuts app was that useful. However it only exports to M4A and AIFF in August 2024.

If you don’t see the blue, look for the “i” and if you hold down the shortcut before you click it, it’s there as well.

Wonderful job. On iOS 16.4.1(a) the steps are different and you have to click on stuff to locate those options. I did everything but after saving the file audio converter isn’t showing when I click share. What now?

If y'all don't see the shortcut option once you create it, Restart your phone and it will appear after a few minuets

This is actually really great. I use this to get songs onto Spotify and I had a really slow method that I'd been using but it had stopped working. This is way faster and actually does work so thanks.

However, when I select the video from my photos album I browse the various functions in dropdown but I could not the shortcut I created hence unble to save to the File. I don’t see Audio converter at the bottom

I followed the tutorial but for some reason when I go to turn it into an audio file in Photos, I tap the shortcut I made but it all it does it open the files app and nothing more. It doesn't show the "preparing" screen. It only opens files and leaves my video unconverted

I can’t see the new short cut when I scroll down after I open the video I want to use. Everything else worked great, just unable to open the video once I have created the short cut. Is there something that I need to do in settings? My iPhone is not recognizing it. I have an iPhone 13pro max.

For anyone wondering, it won’t work if a video is too long. I had a video that’s 3 minutes long and it doesn’t show up but for shorter videos it works

Thank you but I could not get this to work and I see there are others with the same problem. If you are one of them search for a video that is specifically for your IOS, mine is 16 and while similar some steps were different and now it works!

Is there a limit on the size of the recording you can convert? I am doing a 3 hour file from Breaking Walls that I want to save because I collect Jack Benny shows. I started the conversion and it says “preparing”
