I am 13 yrs old....i wanted to learn how to twist my own hair.... This video helped me out because the first time I watch it I learn how to twist my own hair.... Thank you
Now I see why my twists are not tightened enough. I haven’t been twisting separately before twisting them together. Thanks for the video. I will save it for next time since I only twisted my kids’ hair yesterday.
I finally found a video that explained the actual twisting part slowly. Twist clockwise with one hand and the other counterclockwise. Thank you so much
This technique is blowing my mind! After being natural for over a decade, I finally now know the proper way to get a smooth twist! This is life changing. Thank you so much for taking the time to share ! ❤❤❤
Thank you again for this video, i've understood it very well. As I am a teenager and in like 2 years I will be going abroad for college it will be difficult for me to find suitable afro hair salon and also it will be expensive so knowing hw to braid my hair will be useful not only for college but even now when I want to go to school or my everyday basis
I am Dominican and Cuban, despite my fair complexion and bright red hair. Which really makes me stand out amongst my family, although we do all have the same hair type! Very thick curly hair. It really caught me off guard growing up when members of my family would straighten my hair in attempt to tame it, or refuse to teach me how to twist and braid because “I have white people hair” because well... our hair is very much the same aside from its color, so for many years I was silently ashamed to do things for the health and comfort of my hair as I didn’t want to offend my family members. Thank you for teaching a 23 year old how to do her hair the right way, the way you should if you have curls. You don’t know how much I truly appreciate this! Vaya con Dios!
@@luna39900 what? did you even read the post. they where saying because they were lightskin with red hair there family tried to assimilate them and never taught them how to do their hair which made them feel uncomfortable with their hair. so yeah obviously that part is relevant. you mad asl.
@@luna39900 ??? Her skin colour is very relevant to this? They told her that because she looks white, her hair has to be white as well even though she had the same texture as them. You need to get over yourself, just getting antagonized over nothing.
this tutorial was surprisingly way easier than I thought, thank you so much for the simple yet effective explanation. this is my first time twisting and I got the hang of it quickly but I need some practice. thank you for saving me bc I needed my hair done for school lol
Watched video first time you made it seem so easy, I use to buy hair and braid my own hair, took 2 days, so I don't anymore but I will definitely try. Can you suggest what hair products you use, awesome
Thanks sooo much. I twist my hear but have never known about the anticlockwise and clockwise twist. My hair is like your's and I love the final look you have. Thanks again.
You explained perfectly. I follow you on IG, if I’d known, I’d have checked your RU-vid for this tutorial a long time ago. Thanks again. I’ll watch over and again till I get it right. 👍
Thanks you so much ,I am so grateful for learning how to do twist that finally stayed together. Thanks u. What creme would you recommend for hair root as well as growth and good moisturizer . I love in uk ,we seem to have the same hair texture .I just bought as I am for hair but I dont think its good for the roots so would love all in one moisture root cream .thanks
Thanks for this video im a guy with straight hair and alsways found it very difficult for my hairtype but then i found your videos and now i can twist it with no problems 😄
Oh I’m sorry ,I didn’t consider that but I guess the technique is the same , so watch the video, the movement I did with my right hand should be what you would do with your left hand and vice versa, hope that helps
Thank you for sharing this video, I have recently gone back to natural hair and stop using chemicals. I am learning the twist and I am gobig to watch your video and try again tomorrow. So it is best to do the twist on dry hair? As I usually do it after rinsing out my conditioner and was told to towel dry and use products and twist and let it dry in the twist. Am I doing right by doing so?
Awesome..my hair is dirty at the moment but I was eager to give it a trial and for the first time...my God😄 it's the clockwise and anti-clockwise move for me...smiles weldone pretty girl
wow cant believe you did this on your own ,well done most people cant twist their own hair but you got a blessing from God .great work with the twist love the tutorial
Best explanation ever, l watched a lot of videos but they didn't talk about the technique of grabing the hair with two fingers and crossing that l really needed to understand. Thank you sis
ok yes you were the best video to ever explain this to me, the rest made me think you were just braiding the two strands because they moved so fast i couldn't tell that they were twisting while braiding, hence the twist name lmao took me long enough to realise
I would love to say thank you so much. I have been twisting my hair for the last 13 years and it's always great but I was always bothered why my twists were always different from others people's twists... Today I needed to get back to basics because as far as I can recall no one ever taught me how to twist my own hair. All I did one day was wake up and couldn't go to the salon ... BOOM I twisted and my complete head and results were amazing. However today I decided to type twisting natural hair for beginners and as you explained the technique I was practicing on my head... damnnn the result is what I have been looking for for the last 12 years. 😂😂😂 This may sound funny but damnn you are a great teacher I will follow... So if you are asking yourself what did she know before that's different now😊😊.. Well my twist was always bouncy and soft plus not really defined out to stay for so long especially if the hair was very soft and slippery. .. I guess my technique was twisting both hands in the same direction (Clock wise)... Today I held my right for clockwise and my left Ant clock wise... ladies 🎉🎉🎉 low and behold I just feel like I made it in this life😂😂😂... Anyways thank you for the lesson
Very nice tutorial, I am planning on trying this tomorrow. I want to take the time to share with you what I believe and have hope in. We are all sperated from God because of all we have done wrong. This is what brought death, sickness, and pain in our world, but God didn't want it to stay that way. He loves us! He gave up his only son, Jesus, to pay the price we should have payed for all we have done wrong. Jesus payed by dieing on the cross and being resurrected after 3 days. When you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior you go to Heaven and not Hell when you die! _Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior _Believe he died on the cross for your all you have done wrong and rose after 3 days _Tell Jesus all you have done wrong and ask Him to forgive you. May God bless you and keep you all safe during this season and remember Jesus is coming back soon! 🙏
I am twisting my daughters 3c hair and feel like I’m using your technique but it is still pretty loose at the root. Any tips? I put leave in conditioner then gel in, should I focus more gel at the root? Also how long do you normally keep your twist in?
Please what did you use for your hair growth?... I have learnt the twisting from you. Thank you. Please kindly let me know what you used for your hair growth
Thanks but you twist both strands in the same direction...otherwise when you switch hands you'll undo the twist. You did it correctly but you explained wrong. Twist in the SAME DIRECTION babes. ❤
