The SWTOR Collections system is a way of unlocking Cartel Market items across your entire account, for all your characters on every server. Any Cartel Market armor set, mount, emote, color crystal, weapon, pet, toy, title, cartel companion or flair can be unlocked through collections.

Thank you so much for making a video on this and reminding me. I completely forgot you can do this and my inventory is getting very full. This also comes in handy if you want to have multiple copies of the same outfits but in different colors. This way you don't have to change the current color of the original item :)

A little side note: You CANNOT sell items you retrieved from your collection to vendors. So no infinite credits if you unlock something Great video as always btw!

@Swtorista It's worth noting that there is yet another way to obtain free cartel coins. This will work if you are a free-to-play player or a subscriber. If you have an Android or Apple tablet or cell phone and are willing to attach the SWTOR security key to your account, you will receive 100 cartel coins a month for doing so. You will also gain access to the security key vendor on your factions Fleet which has unique items only available on that vendor.

I'm pretty sure you've mentioned it in your earlier video. But just for a complete info... There's a 5th option for earning free CC. The Security Key app will net you 100CC per month...no matter if you're a sub, pref or f2p.

I laughed my ass off when this game was yelling about its "Legacy" system, sharing things across your account, bonuses for having multiple characters, shared this, shared that, and then they just forgot about it. Most of the game's items could easily be account-bound, but that's not the case. The Cartel Market could have legacy unlocks on purchase, but you have to pay for them instead. What a joke this game has become thanks to these damn microtransactions.

Elnino sfd no you don't have to buy it again for every character you just pay a small fee to unlock it on your entire account. I got Kylo Rens light saber as a gift, which is one of the more expensive light sabers at 5100cc and i unlocked it for my entire account for only 400cc which is just 1 month of subscription

@@fiddlesticks7245 not really. You can get at least 600cc a month by subbing and using a security key, and that's not including things like referral links which can add up a bunch more. Also you wouldn't have to spend that much on a saber because the GTN exist where you can buy cc items from other players for credits, which is the normal currency you earn in game. I'll admit $50 for a lightsaber is kinda a scummy but there are other ways to obtain it without spending money

Recently got into SWTOR and completed the f2p story mode for Sith Marauder and decided to start a new f2p playthrough, had some extra money to buy cartel market items and decided to go with the 30x pack. I have four items I am unable to claim, one weapon and three companion customization. I'm not sure what the time limit is for but I feel like it means I'll lose the items if I don't claim them in time. Worse than potentially losing money on items I payed for is that I have to pay more money to use my items for a different character.

I got the zakuul inquisitor set by purchasing a single crate(?) for 200 cartel coins (that i somehow got for free) on my lightside Jedi Knight by accident, and was wondering on how to transfer the set to my gray/light side Inquisitor. Thanks for the useful advice!

If you have already equipped the set, you can not transfer it, only use collections like in this video. If you have not equipped it, it may have a timer. When the timer runs out you can MAIL it to your other character or use the LEGACY BANK.

Additional: Equipping armor parts on different characters won't unlock them in collection. It has to be on the same character. Equipping tunings on a weapon your character can't equip (but your companion can) doesn't unlock it in collection (but extracting it from that weapon will).

@@Swtorista That would be the total &*^% but that is is a big generator of people buying cartel coins. I don't mind it I guess, really don't want them to lose money, but this whole 'collections' aspect reminds me of SWG in the final days, when they allowed you to fly on the ground map and gave you all the objects the devs held back until the end. I fear the failure of the new sw movies is thinning our kind.

As long as you've worn the entire set and it has the cartel symbol it should be unlocked :)

!!! there are a few sets that have the cartel market symbol on them, but cannot be unlocked through collections. check the collections tab before binding it to your character. in that interface you can see that there are no cartel symbols on the items that you cannot unlock account wide.

Thank you for your videos. Im trying to figure out what is the most efficient thing to do with cartel coins as I last played in 2016 and with the security key ive racked up a good 9,160 coins. Can I still buy things on the GTN with credits and then spend a fraction of the cartel coins to unlock it account wide? Seems nice But i also saw how inflated everything is and it doesnt seem like you could realistically buy anything until max level and grinding money to afford them :/.

welcome to the game! Yes that's a great question. It's very tricky right now as a lot of items are being sold off the GTN - so you might buy a valuable cartel item, sell it for 2 billion on the trade chat, but then how do you actually find the lightsaber or armor set you originally wanted? I don't have much advice right now! I would say check the GTN first before you do anything else. Master's Datacrons are still a great item to buy to resell, you can almost instantly sell them for 1 billion on the GTN, or 2-3 bill on the trade chat market.

Right, so I ran into an issue about 30 minutes ago and it's confusing the hell out of me. I equipped all 5 pieces of armour for this one set, and it's saying I've equipped 4/5. I did put on the chest piece first and the rest after in bulk. Think it's a glitch, or have I done something wrong? The most frustrating part is I threw away the chest piece of the armour after equipping it, and that's the only piece it says I don't have. Bit annoying because the armour costs money, and if I can only use it on one class, sure it's not the end of the world, but the literal reason I bought it was to use it across about 4 characters. This just a temporary glitch or have I fucked up here?

@Swtorista - Does this include all Saber's Crystals? I got one of White Saber crystals from somewhere and I don't recall if it has a $ in the lower corner (I believe the $ means that it came from a lock box). I was wondering if that item doesn't have a $ on it, can still be reclaimed? Obviously it still has to fall under the Armor, Mount, Weapon, etc. category.

If it has no cartel market symbol, it is not unlockable. Most white crystals should be unlockable - but I think there was some super rare ones a long time ago that weren't.

Ohhh I think I know what you are talking about. They single-player Space Missions are NOT account-wide. It's a bug that it says that on the tooltip, because they used to be Cartel Market items (they are not anymore).

I received a dualsaber from the market that i cant equip because my character is a dual wielder. I am so incredibly annoyed because its such a cool saber and now i dont know what to do with it because i cant save it to my collections unless i equip:(

What about the -50% discount that is sometimes active on the collection items account unlock? I noticed it few months ago, but since then I got few more items that I'd like to share across my account characters, and prefer to pay only half of course :) (since CC is strongly linked with real $ :/) Do you know if that discount is regular thru the year, or season, or is it just a matter of luck when they'll activate it (and for how long)?

I wish you could add dyes to the collection. I would do another play through right now (Sith Inquisitor) if I could get the black/black dye without spending a good chunk of my credit account. It's just the default armor color of Imperial Bastion but I bumped up the brightness for the thumbnail.

I noticed that none of the items in my collection have the ''buy with cartel coins'' option so for example if i wanted to buy Atris' armor set, how do i get it?

first, equip the entire set. second, go to the collections menu. You can get there from the collections button in your inventory. Type in atris. There should be some tiny buttons on top of the thumbnail of her armor. If you mean those buttons are missing, I would guess you need to equip all the set - I think hers has 4 pieces.

Ah gotcha! Some sets are always on the cartel market, others rotate in and out. If it's not there when you search for it on the cartel market itself, it's not available, and you would need to buy it from another player with credits on the GTN. There's a site that tracks the sales swtordata.com/cartel I searched for atris but I'm not sure it has ever been on the Cartel Market!

If i unlock lets say Revans armor from the Cartel M at lvl 30 will it be at lvl 60 if i get a copy at 60 later?

My question is. I don't see the normal revan armour in the Market only the rebirth. is the normal a Quest unlock for shadows of reven?. Im sorry if I have asked this before ive had a break from the game and my memory has drawn a blank.

There is no quest. Items rotate on and off the cartel market at random. So you'd need to look on the GTN for revans armor.

I just got the Satele Shan holostatue on my jedi guardian but when I log onto my Jedi consular, I can't seem to find it in the collections of my inventory.

Once you get into collections, try manually flipping through the TOYS category.

I opened up ultimate cartel pack and idk how to get the rewards I got. There’s nothing in the unclaimed items menu in the store

Ah gotcha. There's another area called the Cartel Stash I think. Can probably get to it from the main menu. You need to "claim" the item from there

I cant get my honored master armor. I bought it from the gtn and it only included the top part . My character is level 51 and the required level is 41. Can someone help?

I know this video is pretty old now but if I have a bunch of cartel items I want to unlock for my account I have to pay the unlock fee for each item?

Not sure if this ever got answered for you but yes, you’d have to first buy the item then pay even more cartel credits to gain access to it across your account.
