Hi Giles, fyi I just got my radio from Amazon. It had version 4.2. I was able to get the latest firmware via wifi and a 16gb sd card. No need to connect to windows. Cheers!

When I first got this receiver, it quickly became a brick. The upgrades have since changed that. It's far more usable, now, and great to see this maturing with each update.
The upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1 was when the firmware introduced WiFi updating. (They still offer a Windows download even for 4.4+ on their website.) It was I who first reported NTP/clock problems (fixed in 4.2) and suggested pressing the SW button to select between AM, LSB and USB, along with fixing sideband stability (4.3). Now, if only they'd implement a changlog to see what's new....
