*What do Bokeh images do?*
Bokeh images are a great way to alter the look of your depth of field.
Standard bokeh with an aspect ratio of 1 is based on the image of a perfect circle. When you adjust the aspect ratio it squeezes that image vertically or horizontally. You can use bokeh images that have different shapes to get a variety of looks. You can also use images with color to create a chromatic aberration effect.
*How to use them.*
Place a camera in you scene and add the redshift camera tag. In the tag, go to the bokeh section and scroll down to “image”. Check the “Use Bokeh Image” option. Locate an image to add. As you can see it’s now affecting the shape of our bokeh and adding a slight tint to the scene.
When you add a bokeh image, the “power, aspect and shutter blades” parameters stop working.
You can alter the “Normalization Mode” to change how the image map tints the scene.
Unit intensity mode tints the image based on the colors in the bokeh image. While “White Color Sum” removes an unwanted tinting from the in-focus pixels.

How did you achieved such a crisp result on bokeh ? Mine is all grainy and noisy regardless of how high are the sample min / max and Threshold.

Hm, I'm curious what your settings were. I usually use samples min 4, max 2048. Then I add an altus denoiser single pass if it's still grainy. That's the simple version I use for daily renders.

@@the-astropath Similar settings to yours, but i also pushed it all the way to 8k for max. render times were insane and the result was not crisp at all, but i had loads of volumetric lights in the scene. I guess that didn't helped. Denoiser was helping but it only extended the times even more. So i didn't do it on that one shot i was testing it on.

@@RemireZ88 well you don't want to increase the max samples for no reason. That will definitely make your render time insane. Depends on your scene too.

@@the-astropath oh yeah , of course, but i was just wanting to see how far i have to push it to get crisp result. well in my case it didnt work at all. too much was going on in the scene

@@RemireZ88 Yeah it depends entirely on the scene. If you have tons of reflections, like diamonds or caustic reflections it could make things more difficult.
