Hi, tysm I finally understand this! I have an important test and this is one of the topics in the test and I was really struggling before watching this video. Was very helpful! Thank you :)
hi tysm i finally am starting to understand CAST,but one thing I don't really understand is the last question why do we need to change the range from 0
If there is something in front of the angle then you have to change the given range. E.g If you have sin(3x+30) then you would multiply the range values by 3 and then add 30. You then reverse all the solutions by doing the opposite at the end. Hope I made it clear. If not I will revisit this topic in another video in future
at 08:25, you mentioned we have to change the interval by doing 270 divided by 2/3. On my calculator this gives me 405, not 180 degrees. Am I doing something wrong?
@@MathsCoach Ah I see, thank you! So do we always have to do the same thing to the interval as we have for x? For example in that question x is being multiplied by 2/3 so then we multiply the interval by 2/3 as you said. For some reason I thought we should do the opposite to the interval i.e divide it by 2/3 🤔
Yes that is correct. If you see anything with the x then change the interval accordingly. Also, don't forget to reverse your answers right at the end after you have used the CAST diagram to find the angles.
hey can you please explain what principle angles and periods are , is it the same as using the cast diagram ? please reply quick i have exam the day after
Helllo.....I'm from india, recently I've cleared jee advanced nd pursuing b.tech, I'm more interested into mathematics, I would like to teach abroad students from india. So how it could be possible from here!!
that last question made no sense whatsoever lmao, you went round 360, then proceeded to do 180+71, which is fine, sure, but when you had to go round 360 again, you did 540-76, why are you doing - instead of +? why does the rotation suddenly change? the numbers change because youre going round 3 times, i get that, but the signs changing makes 0 sense
