How to use Crosstour Action Camera CT7000 

I have to totally agree with John Richards. My camera arrived yesterday and I was amazed at the lack of detail in the instruction manual. This video certainly helps.

Rather than elevator music, a voice-over narration would have been helpful in providing context to this familiarization video. Screen captions serve a purpose as well, but do not replace voice narration. This is Technical Communication 101, folks. And while I'm at it, this product needs a compact 20-page reference manual that explains every function, option, and setting the camera offers. People who buy $40 cameras aren't professionals and do not have a clue what most of the settings mean or what will be the consequences of using them. And then there are the complications that could arise from using the wrong combination of settings. Why not create a table listing the most effective settings for various kinds of shooting? Right now the user has no starting point. Because your camera isn't documented, your customers become your QA staff and beta testers. You should be paying us. Tip from a long-time technical writer: If you make a range of cameras you could produce a single reference guide that covers them all, with model-specific icons that point the user to their camera's features and settings. You might get a sense of deja vu reading this because I'll be using pretty much the same words in my Amazon review of your camera. I've worked in tech for more than 30 years and continue to be mystified by how developers give so much lip service to customer support then neglect to provide their products with the most basic and cost-effective deliverable a customer could ask for: a task-based user guide written in plain English. RU-vid tutorials like this one are helpful but CANNOT replace printed docs. Lack of documentation is a false saving! You are losing money through increased customer support costs, sales lost to competitors who document their products effectively, and reduced customer satisfaction resulting from difficulty in learning a complex, unfamiliar technical product, and bad results from using the products with the wrong settings. Give your heads a shake!

Mine is different. On mine, to playback push the front (mode) a few times until you see a list of 3 choices. Choose video, then push the top to select it. Scroll through videos using up and down buttons Play it by pressing the top OK Had to figure this out. There were no instructions.

at 1:13 you say to remove the SD card. Then you say to format it...how do you do that with the card out????

Hi, i have a Crosstour CT8000. I got it on christmas. I used it yesterday and it was absolutely fine. I turned it off for a while with the battery in the gopro, and the card in. I went to use it again to delete the videos so i can use it again next time, but when i turn it on it shows the blue light but the screen is completely black and it won’t let me use any of the buttons while it’s black. Do you know how to help without me contacting anyone or sending it back?

My CT7000 records the first minute of audio fine, but as soon as it passes that there's an annoying whining. After 1 minute in any video without fail. Any ideas?

The camera is great, but the app won't connect to the camera on my ZTE blade x phone. It will connect to the app on my Samsung phone, but I don't use that one... How can I get the app to recognize the camera on my ZTE phone? Does it not work with ZTE phones? It is still an Android phone... I had planned on buying at least two more of these cameras, but if they won't connect to the app then it would just be a huge hassle to try to swap SD cards around (which I can't do with my ZTE phone anyway as its using an SD card for combined storage). Is there another app the camera will connect to?
