For me I’m lucky. This feature is INCREDIBLY useful. I’m a transit driver and there are countless times throughout my day where passengers need to ask me information, or request a transfer etc etc. I have my earbuds in all day listening to music or podcasts. This allows me to just pause and play so effortlessly now so I can hear who’s talking to me. It’s amazing . Plus my playlist stack in Apple Music is huge. It’s where all my music is. So this is an amazing feature for me. Can also see why it would be useless or frustrating for other people too. Furthermore, the double tap to accept and hang up calls. Incredible as-well. This makes it so I never have to touch my phone which is a big big no no when I’m driving. I can only touch my phone when I’m parked, secured and in a safe location.

Thanks for the comment! Definitely some real world usage with this feature. I think everyone has to understand that not every feature Apple introduces will be for everyone.

Double tap use to “dismiss” message notifications. I enjoyed it. I know I can just put my hand back down, but I wish that was an option still.

Yeah, it definitely needs more options but maybe as it is used more we will get more customization

You sure you have the Series 9 and not the Series 8? The 2 Apple Watches look identical.

Do you have the series 9 or 8? Make sure it’s 9 as the 8 doesn’t have this option. Also make sure your iPhone and Apple Watch iOS is fully updated

You need to update your iPhone to the new software here is how Install iOS 17.1 or later. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3lw2hM-0VFM.html You also ave to update the watch software in the Watch app on the iPhone.

Out of the at least 200 times I tried to answer my watch with double tab it maybe worked twice, Apple needs to do it right or not at all because it’s really fucking annoying wen it doesn’t work

That’s unfortunate, I have had little to no issues but I don’t use it much. Maybe try turning off the Apple Watch and turning it back on. Could be glitching.

Skipping songs only works with apple music and only works if the app is open. Pretty rubbish feature if you ask me

@@DHTV hope so, but who knows, apple is pretty greedy when it comes to third party stuff. Like how many years has it been and you can only use apple music on your watch without your phone (which is super buggy). So wish I could use RU-vid music on my watch without my phone when I run and double tap switchy songs. So much to ask for 😔?

Well it’s Google vs Apple kind of thing. I can’t play RU-vid music on my Amazon Alexa without my phone either. They all in competition and won’t give in. It’s not just an Apple issue.

It’s the app developers that have to set their apps up to use the feature. Apple can’t make them use it.

This is a trash feature as it stands right now, honestly. The similar feature you can turn on in Accessibility is much more rich imo. Pretty useless when all I can do with it is launch the smart stack and interact with a few Apple specific apps.

Yeah I agree, more developers of apps need to incorporate it but in comparison to the accessibility option though, double tap is much more responsive.
