Glad this video helped you out. If you haven't already can you thumb up my video? It helps my channel grow a lot. I buy all my gear no sponsors I use the extra funds I make on yt to review gear. Thanks buddy.
Thank you my Brother! You are the only site on the internet that let me know the HORN beeps Twice when it goes in the RELEARNING Mode!! It work GREAT and NO issues now! Thank you very much!
hi John, 2015 silverado 2500HD LTZ 6.6L duramax - followed your advice and it worked a treat. Would give a jellyfish a horn. Much appreciated from Australia mate.
Just stopping by in the comments helps me out a lot. RU-vid is more ilkely to promote my channel hen theres comment participation and thumbs ups. When I see videos from Australia I see a lot of Hiluxs and smaller SUVs are big pick ups rare there?
@@JohnDrivesAnything yeah rare here most popular Toyotas - but Silverao, RAM's and F250 have a dedicated following - awesome tow tugs - such that its not the tail wagging the do if you understand what I mean
Tip- Make sure parking brake is on before you turn ignition on. My 2015 Sierra would not go into learning mode when I applied the park brake after turning ignition on. As for the comments that you don’t need the tool , just go thru the sequence by adding or letting air out. This was true on my 2011 Sierra but somewhere between 2011 and 2015 GM changed it so you have to have the tool. Bless their hearts.
thx i was stumped and thought my tool was not working. the 90’ to the stem was critical. 3 of the 4 stem sensors were on the inside of my tires the first tire set on the outside of the rim - calibrated and done !!! thanks!
Bought this one. Worked great. A year later the battery died. When I removed the battery the prongs came out with it and broke. Never dropped it, just removed the battery and no more.
This tool also works on learning the trailer TPMS sensors included with some 2019 and 2020 Chevy/GMC 1500 pickups. I just had the sensors installed on my travel trailer and it worked just as advertised. The only difference between the vehicle and the trailer is the sequence is different. Trailer tire learning sequence is left front, left rear, right rear, right front. Just go by the horn sounding each time a sensor is learned, as there are no light indications. And when you're done, you'll get a two chirp signal after the single chirp from the last tire that lets you know you successfully learned all the sensors. You also have a two minute countdown timer, so don't dawdle around. Now I can monitor all four trailer tire pressures and temps on my infotainment screen.
Glad this video helped you out.Can you give it a thumbs up if you haven't already. I appreciate you stopping by and participating in the comments. It helps my channel a lot.
Very useful clip. The fact that the tyre shop messed up meant that something else was shown in the video. By the way, when you Americans start to spell words correctly :)
Thanks for uploading. Got my wheels redone and swapped out and they have the sensors set on the wrong tire corners. Instead of going back, I just ordered myself the tool. Hopefully its an easy fix and save myself the drive back to the off-road shop to reset it and waste a day off of work to drive out there. Seem pretty simple tool to use. (fingers crossed)
@@LifeOutsideSP Did you make sure to aim the tool right under the valve stem? Your truck is still under 5 years old isnt it so I dont think the sensor batteries should be bad already
I've never had to do this on my Dodge Grand Caravans or my Jeep. I just rotate the tires and everything is good. I even replaced all four of the tire sensors in my 09 Grand Caravan and didn't have to do any programming or learning, plug n play.
So watching your video, you're really saying the dealership didn't do anything wrong.... Since the wheel didn't have a TPMS installed. Got it. Thanks for the info.

Just got the tool and tried....... I recently had a back tired replaced at Walmart last Dec and the back 2 sensors had been working, my fronts died last year and last Saturday I had 2 new tires put on and sensors at walmart, but they said their machine needed to be charged up so went back Monday and got hit with the back sensors were not showing up now and the other rear tire needed to be replaced, said dry rot even though it looks almost new. So I just ended up leaving, not really able buy another new tire / mounting / road hazard fees and 2 more sensors. So I' guess all the sensors maybe need to be the same brand in order to relearn...... On my 2009 Impala you use the keyfob and press 2 buttons to start the relearn, it did beep on the 2 new front tires (I guess universal replacements) but no luck on the rears being found / horn beeping. So I'm guessing letting the air out to set may not work either, I've not tried yet. When I got there Monday they said I could sit in the car but they never set up the dash to relearn or have the car on.......... I was going to have them do 2 new sensors but could not really buy another tire at this time since on SS... Thanks
Worked on a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse LTZ. Replaced one TPMS sensor using Shrader GM. Vehicle did not read the new sensor. Deflate technique didn't work. The VXDAS EL-50448 worked on the first try.
You can buy this tool on amazon for $15, but the same exact tool on the GM website is $65. You used to be able to relearn your tpms without a tool, just by letting some air out of each tire. Hey GM, how bout you stop ripping off your customers?
The spare tire didn't have a sensor so I just read the tire in the bed when it was fixed. Of course I transfered the fixed tire back to where it belonged.
Tire most likely doesn't have a sensor. The spare tire in this truck didn't have a sensor ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W65k-wIzOxA.html
I tried it on a Nissan Frontier and it didn't work. Some people claimed to have done it in Nissan Versa, Altima, and Xterra using the same tool. It didn't work for me.

Is this the same sequence for 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD please ie would you expect indicators to come on to show you the sequence, note instructions from VXDAS EL-50448 p poor
@@deep8873 I see some silverados can reset the TPMS by letting air out of each tire in a sequence. Hopefully all you need is this tool. they are only $10 now
hate all these electronics. The less electronics the less things to break. I'm getting a newish car at the end of the year and I really hope it doesn't have this many electronics in it.
I replaced a tire with my spare on my ZR2 and the sensor went out I bought the tire sensor reader and did exactly what you did. But it would the sensor light keeps popping back up and have to do the procedure again. Does it happen to you too?

Does your cars rim have matching rims with the non spares? It's nice this truck has a matching rim. I told my dad to get a pressure sensor so he can rotate 5 tires vs 4
@@JohnDrivesAnything no idea what matching rim means. Just know the tyre pressure is 450 kpa in the spare and it has no sensor, and all other have opel sensor and should be 220 according to the info bracket on the passenger side.
This was when this truck was still new. My dad got the spare checked. There was no TPMS so he got one put in so he can rotate all 5 tires in. He's still on the stock tires 5 years later lol. I think it's time to get new ones!
This is straight up lazy. The Tire Pressure relearn literally takes 2 minutes. I'm pretty sure most dealers don't do the re-learn. I only found out it wasn't done because of a flat.
Let me explain. When I say "capitalism", I'm not proposing the replacement of the system. It's just a complaint about the way the dealer and the manufacturer, and the capitalists as a whole treats the consumer. When they use pratices such as scheduled (forced) obsolescence, or simply when you pay for a service in the tires and they don't reinstall (including re-learn) the TPMS, what is, for me, an obvious procedure. In my country, car services are even worse. Some services, I better do. Not for the money, but for the "lazy" or bad people. Of course it's good when you can buy your own tool and do the job. I said less than I wanted to say in the previous comment. Thank you for the feedback.
