I own an iPad Pro 11 inch, 2019 model. I've always worked on a dual monitor setup, I wanted to turn my iPad into a second monitor for my laptop running windows 10. New Mac os has native support for external display, but with windows, there are Softwares that help you achieve this.
After trying different Softwares to use iPad as a second screen for free, I have to say that I have found the best alternative to Duetdisplay alternative. Be it the Duet Pro or Duet Air.

Nvm I just figured it out! Press the windows key and P then click "Extend"! But the problem is that i can only use my mouse on one monitor (my ipad) Idk how to fix that!

On my Samsung Galaxy Tab s8 ultra I just select external monitor on my laptop and it sees the tablet as a second screen, no apps to download, no wires, no messing with settings, it just works. It also still keeps its touch functionality as well.

I just wanted to thank you for this tutorial because it worked really well with me! I’ve been wanting to get into 3d animation for a while, but I don’t have a drawing tablet and It’s really hard to use a mouse with blender. I think you cant. I tried using photoshop but the pen doesnt work at all. Adobe illustrator works. But the screen quality is not good at all. So i dont know if the pen working has a solution or not.

Just did this with Win 10 pc and Ipad Pro. Screens went black for about 5 mins. then came back on. Worked perfectly after that. Nice to use the Ipad as a portable extended screen. Pen works on the second display! Duplicate screen works as well as extend screen. No PC sound on Ipad though but good anyway. Thanks.

I faced the same issue. Uninstall other applications which are used for the same purpose (for eg. Display Link, Duet Display, Fresco Logic, MCT, Microchip/SMSC, OSBase, Splashtop XDisplay and Extended Display HD, etc.) spacedesk.net/user-manual/##item_497 This is how you fix it. Worked for me. I just want to take a minute to thank you for this video. You not only saved me the frustration of subscribing to a product that under performs and yet I am still paying for that frustration, but you also saved me some valuable downtime when my Lepow monitor starting giving me a problem during my remote work day. I researched the Duet Air reviews and came across your video. Followed your instructions and "Bang" just like that I was up and running with a dual monitor (My iPad). SO I finally got my Lepow monitor online and "BANG!!" now I have a 3 MONITOR remote setup! This is amazing! I will have to buy another Lepow as it is much larger than my iPad, even if I bought a 12" over my 11" so it's just a matter of real estate. BUT this is awesome so my misfortune resulted in a 133% increase in my remote working environment. Can't thank you enough!

in the PC it says "Incompatible Display Hook Driver!" and in the Ipad it says "Disconnected by server error, Error code: 2-5-" edit: fixed this, just need to uninstall splashtop xdisplay from my PC, then restart it

This is absolutely marvelous. Thank you. Best part is that my apple pencil still works on the ipad and I can use it as to control my pc like a mouse would have. Although the resolution is quite bad and laggy. Is there any way to bump up the resolution and make the display faster?

i found way to change the resolution! you have to go into the ipad app settings and change the resolution there and t will show up int the pc idsplay settings! just didnt fund a solution for ipad sound :/

Yes there might be Isolation enabled so that no two devices on the same network can talk to each other on the starbucks network.

Maybe i do something wrong, or it is just doing what it is doing. I installed the iPad as a 3rd monitor with spacedesk. The only thing is that it doenst work with finger guestures anymore. When i move Photoshop over to the iPad it doenst reactie on the pencil. So i gues it is only a monitor, and not an ipad anymore. I think that is something different with Duet to!

I just fixed an 8 year old ipad 4th gen (broken home button was all) and with your help in less than 5 minutes turned it in to an external monitor which would have been otherwise useless since no other useful apps are still supported anymore on iOS 10. I bumped up the resolution causing me to get like 5 frames a second but its perfectly fine for my use tracking live stocks. Very happy!

Thanks to you I was able to successfully connect my Alienware r12 (desktop pc) to my ipad air 3. Finaly able to use photoshop on the ipad with no limitations thanks to your video man!
