Glad you found it useful. When I bought the Niro, I was considering a Tesla just because of its dog mode but then I found you could do the same with the Niro. I't's a bit of a faff but it would have been £7k more for a similar Tesla.
I have just bought a 2920 e Niro haven’t got a dog but I now know how to get the key out! Thanks for the video something else I’ve learnt about the car.
You are welcome. You don't have to have a dog. On a hot summer day or even a cold winter's day you can leave the climate control on and/or the heated seats and have a comfortable vehicle to return to.
Very jealous of your car. Id love to join the EV world and the e niro, after research is the best car for my needs, just about 4k out of my price range! Maybe in a years time the price will fall a bit. Keep the videos coming.
I've done 65k trouble free and economic motoring in my E-Niro since 2020, charging at home except on long runs, when Tesla Supercharger membership saves a lot of money. I would suggest you take a look at Portfield Eco cars, who buy to order at Auctions - and remember how much you can save compared with fossil fuel on simple running costs (although the older Niro needs battery coolant changed (silly money) every 30k miles).
Thanks for your comment. I'm glad that you enjoyed the video. It seems that 2nd hand EV prices are still falling because, as take up has soared, there are more of them coming on to the market. As has been said below, the savings are enormous if you can charge at home. I usually let mine run down to about 30% then charge it up to between 70-80% depending on what I am planning to do and on the octopus go tariff that costs me about £2.00 and that is approximately 120 miles of running. I hope you can find one in your budget soon.
End of this year/beginning of next year more EVs will be available on the second hand market. Most of them ex business lease cars. They say prices will come down a bit further then.
Thanks, I already knew that from a previous blogger however it’s always worth an update for new owners. It would be great though if like Tesla there was a dog friendly one step setting that also displayed “in dog mode” so that passers by wouldn’t panic for the dog 🐕 and perhaps smash a window.
Thank you for the guide. Just bought a 2021 E-Niro for my other half so thank you for your videos that you have made. We have 2 EV's now in our household and I'm blown away how well the Niro is performing and the range is outstanding.
