And you know microsoft will keep updating it to compete with grammarly grammarly is expensive but editor is rolled into office 365 so potentially one day editor might eclipse grammarly usefulness
I've only been using Microsoft Word. Honestly when you said your reviews were like 3rd graders😂😂. But I never knew this. I don't know what to comment here but I'd just like to say this video was so helpful! Did Kevin just say "oof". Oh wow, you're making this a lot more entertaining Kevin. Haha, I still can't forget when your data was "cevin" instead of "Kevin". Now auto-correct is killing me. I'm behaving like a 3rd grader😂😂. Can't get enough of that😅😅😜😜
I will never troll Kevin. The intro was so funny. I guess me been a ninth grader I definitely have to the write the KCC's marketing collateral. Great to see that this is the Microsoft Version of Grammarly and the fact that there is a chrome extension is definitely so cool. Loved the video as always
I use Grammarly for the writing suggestions and errors. Loved if all the features are free. Sorry to say that's not the case. Will continue using Grammarly as using it for about 6 months.👍 I had already added Grammarly extension in my Microsoft Word app.
Hey Kevin, this was a fantastic video! I just canceled my premium Grammarly subscription as a result. My job pays for the office 365 suite which gives me access to the editor for free! I wouldn't have found out about this without one of your shorts. Thanks for all your tutorials!
I've been using Microsoft Word since I was very young and I always enjoyed using the Editor. It makes grammar and spelling corrections a whole lot easier. Thank you, Kevin for reminding me to use this amazing feature once again. Hope you have a great day!
Wow, Kevin!! Your intros just keep getting better and better. And it's nice how you have started adding funny B-Roll! Microsoft editor is not something new but the features and compatibility with Word is new to me. I really appreciate the hard work and efforts you put in to make these tutorials for us. RU-vid should promote you way more than you currently are being promoted. Since you put out a video on this, the competition with Grammarly might increase!
I tested Editor with a document written by a colleague whose English is a second language. There were many obvious grammar errors that Editor did not highlight. I had selected my preferences in the Settings box before running Editor. I submitted my comments to Microsoft in the attached comment section. I'm surprised Editor wasn't as effective as I hoped.
hello! I know this video isent about like webcams but I just have a question so I have a laptop but a dell pc so I have a big screen but my webcam mic on my laptop is preventing me from useing my headphone mic
As always, Kalvin great video and effort to educate and bring new things on table. Can I have still have Grammarly for possible different experiences? your honest answer is always appreciated.
I have used Grammarly free for ages. But since i got office 365 i can get this premium as a browser extension and since Grammarly is only for English it is amazing to have it both for Dutch and English.
I think Grammarly is better for English, especially American English (my preference). But can be a great thing for other languages, like Portuguese, Spanish, and others with the "refining" feature. (review the languages table)
I do not think it is. I am also using Office 2019 and I do not see it available. It's also not on the most current version of Office 365, which was not made clear. And this shoudl be made clear in the presentation to avoid confusion. The main problem is they assume that all are on the most current version, and this is very far from reality.
Can you make a video that explains how to add a 3rd person to an email conversation? For example: A potential client fills out the contact form on my website - that contact form gets sent to my business email. Once i receive that and reply to that person and start a conversation with them. How can i then add my employee to that email conversation so that my employee can see all the past emails and also join the conversation and reply to both me and the client as well? I am mostly asking, how do I add my employee to the thread so that it then goes from a 2 way conversation before into a 3 way conversation? Thanks! Any advice on how to simply do this would be helpful.
I believe it’s just now rolling out to outlook and is currently available to insiders. You can opt into the insider program or wait a little and it’ll become broadly available soon.
Need to add how to turn on readability stats. I plan to share this with students and the readability info would be helpful. (And to students, do not copy from websites unless your professor gives you permission, in writing)
Just Choose FILE | OPTIONS and then click on the PROOFING Tab, look under the section "when correcting spelling and grammar in Word" and click the check box to Show readability statistics.
Does anyone have a working method to get this running in Firefox? I don't care for Grammerly, but Edge and chrome (and chromium based browsers) are a no-go for me.
ModernFlyouts just changes the visual appearance of Windows' flyouts (that can be seen when plugging in a charger to a laptop, adjusting the volume with your keyboard, adjusting brightness, etc.)
Grammarly is more accurate but is slower, but the ms editor is fast but a little slower, earlier I was using both but that was kind of messy, now only using Grammarly, as it also defines works on double text..
Doesn't pick up spelling errors at our company. Well maybe about 10% of errors. I can add an extra letter to correctly spelt words and it wont pick it up as an error. Proofing settings are all ok
Alternatively, stop being lazy and focus on educating yourself so that you don’t have to rely on toys to mask a lack of basic intelligence. Think about it: if an app can ‘write better’ - why am I employing an expensive (dumb) human?
