How to use the service diagnostic mode of your washing machine to diagnose and fix a washer that won't agitate. The service manual for most modern washing machines can be found somewhere inside the cabinet usually inside a sealed plastic bag.
In Whirlpool-styled washers, Roper, Estate, Amana, etc., the technician’s service manual can usually be found on the upper left corner of the inner cabinet. On General Electric machines a large folded sheet with the service information can often be found taped at the bottom left back of the cabinet case. The information found in these pamphlets can be very useful to the service technician and the DIY’er when diagnosing any problems that may occur with these machines.
If you can’t find a service manual on your machine try doing a web search using your make and model number for this information.
