Hello NavieD I'm a new subscriber 🔥🤘 I've been making beats for about 2 years.. mainly with bandlab at the moment to practice. Use what elements they have to offer. But also in conjunction I've used Reason 10.2.2, also FL Studio 20.. I'm also an 8 year jazz taught Drummer.. My biggest influence is to reintroduce Bluegrass music into all of today's electronic music... 🪕🎻🎚🎛🎹 Cause it's still something that bands today experiment with.. but not much on the producer/Dj side of music.. Anyway Great channel 🔥🔥🔥🔥 🥀🥀🥀🥀
Thank you Navie D. this video was very helpful for me, I knew most of the tips that you showed in this video simple from just messing around in FL, but there where others that I didn't know about! Big up to you!
Hi Naive, I just have to commend you on your brilliant channel. You came up in my video recommendations couple days ago, and i've been hooked on watching your vids.... the way you explain things is so clear and to the point... I definitely can learn alot from your videos. Thanks for taking the time to do this! It's much appreciated.
Amazing help as always Navie D. You showed how to make beats interesting just by using tools and tricks in the playlist, also super helpful tips for workflow. Didn't know that Image-Line went that far with the playlist.
Yeah, the way I used to look at it the same way, like it was it was just a place to paste patterns into. But you can really make your beat a lot more interesting and dynamic through the playlist
Ayy big Pingu back again. Hey, I am starting my beat review stream this Sunday (check the pinned comment for details). Would love to see you there my friend
thanks so much Navie i learnt so much from this one tutorial as a new Bee great stuff man. could you please do a tutorial on grid size for diffrent sounds thanks melly mel
Awesome tutorials! Fast, condensed, straight forward and helpful. Also, nice video editing to make everything come together perfectly. Did you do all that by yourself?
@@NavieD Thank you! I'm confused about note placement, how do we know where to place notes? How we determine note length? My beats end up sounding more like "TV beats" than "rap to" beats. Is there theory for that I think that's what holding me back.
Thank u for coming up with this tutorial, I really needed this because my beat don't have that quality sound I needed .. Am axle flame a producer from SOUTH AFRICA
It's been a long time comin'. Should happen within the week! Which is also why I am starting my beat review on Sunday by the way, if you are interested check my pinned comment
Hey Nav, good evening. How are you? Hope all is well. Real quick, what program do you use for these videos? I ask because I’m doing research for my music videos and DaVinci is pretty popular, obviously iMovie but the zooming/magnifying + split screen FX on this video are on point.
One superpowa is trio combination of holding shift + holding rightclick followed with middleclick or left click. It opens instant quick menu with alot of gooodies. Works for Piano Roll and Playlist. Alternative for Track scaling is Ctrl + Midle Click and Drag Up or Down.
Is there no command on the computer keyboard to loop like 8 bars or 4 bars on the playlist that you want to hear over and over again Instead of right click and drag?
Can you please tell me how to select and/or delete multiple tracks from the playlist? I record live music with my band during practice, we record in to the playlist multiple tracks at once, per song. I don't want to get up in between songs and start a whole new file, so I just stop and start recording. The program then starts a whole new set of 11 tracks below the 11 we just did. By the end of the session there's probably about a hundred tracks in the playlist. How can I select 11 of them at a time to either delete, or solo, or mute, or copy or whatever? Appreciate any help, I watched your whole video looking for a clue. Did gain some helpful info btw... thanks!
This is very useful, i didnt realise you can clone the whole playlist session. I hate that you have to make every midi and wave unique manually. I think that's what made me look into Ableton and now Bitwig. Imagine Line need to make "make unique" feature as on and off.
This was the best Playlist Tutorial!!! Please Help! I can't get the playlist to lock in place or reattach the main window . I was able to lock the mixer in place but can't seem do the same with the Playlist window. Now I have to keep dragging it around in order to see plugins that are lost behind it.
If you slice a pattern in the playlist but still have an original in the playlist like he does here 3:54 you'll find you can just click on the original and the sliced version won't be pasted, the original will
again great video ! Drop a big Like for you : > p.s to delete all unused audio clips and clean your project go to TOOLS - Macros - Purge unused audio clips = )
Ayyy thanks for sharing man! And thank you for the like my friend. By the way, the live beat review starts this Sunday (check the pinned comment if you are interested)
