I was investigating the maker mug press for my wife. I am very impressed with your presentation. it was very pleasant and informative. You have a very good teaching voice. Thanks for the video.
I am a new subscriber and I just wanted to thank you for be so efficient with your video and thank you for showing us how to do the tumblers in the new Mug Press
Awesome video and I appreciate that you let us know that we need to register our new mug machines. You were the only one that I've heard after watching atleast 10 videos on this new mug machine by Cricut. Mine is being delivered tomorrow so I may seriously be thinking of getting into the whole sublimation game after seeing the brighter colors it does so I'll be starting with the infusible inks first. Thanks again :)
Love them!! I saw another crafter use a silicone mat cut to the size you want instead of cardboard because they got tired of having to keep cutting a piece to fit in there. Then you could use the silicone over and over again.
Yes, I have been saying that I am going to use a silicone mat. However, I just keep using what I already have on hand. One of these days, I'll get my hands on something better than cardboard lol!
I didn't realize you could do the taller mugs. You really have alot of information. Thanks. I'm still thinking about buying one. I'm not sure if I would get much use. Though I think they are so nice looking.
Thank you for this video. I wasn't going to buy a Cricut mug press because I wanted to do tumblers but after seeing this video I went out and purchased on.
I know im asking randomly but does any of you know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Lawson Pablo Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Thanks for mentioning the registration part, I was soooooo confused about why my cricut press wouldn't get hot. In the video u mention leaving tumbler in press for 50 secs..... is that 50 secs all four times? seems like you left it in longer
I have watched your video. Curious about your time. Are you first timing it as you go along somewhere or are you doing it as you playing it by ear? and also I didnt here the press tell you it was done. So I am assuming all of the features for finishing is not being used from the machine itself. oh use Parchment paper on the bottom for you cup not to scrape it.. saw that on another video... Thank you for the video can't to see more..
So very awesome!!! More things we can make with this mug press!!! Great job and tutorial!!! Love your beautiful designs. Thank you for all the tips and tricks you use also. ❣💐❣💐❣💐❣💐❣
I cannot believe that no other RU-vidrs haven't started making videos of doing the tumblers in the Cricut Mug Press after your GENIUS discovery!!! I keep coming back to your channel hoping you've made more videos of this technique. Have you gotten the silicone wrap yet and if so, have you tried it and does it then make the fit inside the press better/tighter? I'm dying to see you do this!! LOL Also, only question....I noticed that you have the ASub paper exposed. Typically everything I've seen so far in my learning about making subbed tumblers is that you need to add additional paper/protection of some sort so that when the ink bleeds out from heating, it has a barrier so that you don't leave an imprint on your press. You haven't had an issue with that?
Hi Patti, thank you so much for your interest. I haven't received my silicone wraps in the mail just yet. 😞 However, as soon as I receive them, I will post a video on this method. Stay tuned for more content coming soon! As far as the blowout paper, no I havent found it necessary to use with either mug press I use when doing tumblers. I haven't had any issues with blowouts or ink spilling over onto my heating elements. Hopefully that continues to be the case 🤞🏾😉
Have you used cricut infusible ink sheets on tumblers yet? I don’t have a sublimation printer so I order some transfer ink sheets and I didn’t want to ruin a cup of they didn’t work. Thanks for your videos and help! You’re so very appreciated!
Hi Courtney! No I haven't tried those because l feel that I have more options using sublimation printing versus the infusible ink sheets. However, I would like to try it out just to see how well they will work with tumblers.
i have had 3 Cricut mug press replaced and I just went to press some mugs after not using the last one for 6 weeks and it would not start up. I have only used a few 11 oz mugs with it and never glass. Have you any experience with this? I have 3 different press with no problems and they press glass and ceramic. I hate to call these presses junk and recommend people not to buy as Cricut usually produces good products.
Wonderful to try this, lady!! It came out great! I love the mug press too and have a double one as well. Bravo! Is the bottom of the mug press a heat element? I wonder if you can sublimate your logo on the bottom.
Hi Talemaker, thank you for watching my video. I made a second video on subbing the bottom of the tumbler. You should check it out, if you haven't already!
I think you did a great job on your first video. Can you share a link or description of where you get your tumblers and what paper you use to sub and image. I’ve only subbed tee shirts
Hey Michelle, thank you for watching my video! I posted this prior to anyone else in the industry and just used what I had on hand. However, since I've posted this, I have purchased silicone mats to use but sometimes still revert back to the good old cardboard. I say "use what you have and make it work to the best of your abilities!"
Lol so wait I had to go check it after both of you said it and yes it is chirping. Omg yal have some great ears because I didn't even notice and I'm in the house 🤣🤣 Thank you for pointing this out!
Yes, I use an Epson ET2720 printer and will be posting a video this week on the system, printer and paper that I use. I will be posting a few videos this week, so don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more videos coming soon!

Hi. Do you have to use the cricut program to use this press? Or do you have to just set it up with the cricut site and then can use it like a regular heat press after setup? Thanks!
You just have to download the software, follow the prompts to activate and then once that is completed you just use it like a regular press afterwards. It only needs to connect to the software once.
Do you think you could use a piece of the rubber material that comes with your traditional heat press or maybe a small pressing pillow instead of the cardboard to make it a tighter fit?
Yes, I believe you could. I just didn't have anything on hand except cardboard. I plan to purchase a silicone wrap to try out soon. I will post a video with that.
Yes I noticed that the first few times but when I put in a coffee mug and let it sit for about 4 mins, they finally began to light up. Not sure why it took so long but it did light up after 4 mins.
You are so welcome! I don't think it will light up since it is not designed for tumblers though. I have just began to keep a timer on my phone when pressing so I can track it.
I tried this method and the top of my tumbler didn’t press well. My tape was tight but I’m thinking it’s because the top didn’t get hot enough since the heat isn’t in the press wrap but it’s coming from the plate at the bottom. The tumbler, when the top is at the bottom of the press, isn’t touching the heat element. Thoughts?
Some people on RU-vid raise the top side of the tumbler slightly above the metal circle plate. When you use a mug, the mug sits ON TOP OF the metal circle place. So you need to replicate the same height above the metal place for tumblers.
