I was wondering how to adjust the speed when transferring Bitcoin to my ledger? I unable to get estimate fees until after I send the amount. After looking at the transaction address on the blockchain I’m seeing on the fees I’m paying 85% more than average. I paid about $31 on $700 worth of Bitcoin I’m super new at this. Correct. There was an initial investment, or "sacrifice", if you care to call it that, to move my entire existing balance from the old wallet format to the new wallet. For the two separate transactions it was a total of $10.09 in US dollars which was less than 1% of the total balance. I guess that should be included in any future savings calculations. The idea being that any future transactions, using the new address format will be at lower fees. And any new purchases of bitcoin that I make on exchanges will be stored in this new format wallet. good eye!
Tried but getting API HTTP 500, despite several retries. I don't have much time to tweak with this, I will try later after rebooting my laptop.But definitely a move in the right direction. Next thing I would like to see is a full assets discovery. Meaning, based on the private key, it will retrieve all the necessary apps with balance automatically. And even better if it can setup base accounts as well. New Bitcoin segwit is nice, but bother that need to pay fees and still exchanges do not fully support it. Just like a couple of years ago when the main bitcoin fork occurred. I think that is the nature of the beast....:)
So i have a Nano ledger X and i also using bittrex at the moment (know you used to use it or maybe still do rex (doubtful nowadays :D) anyways when going to withdraw from bittrex it says this : Currently, we do not support withdrawal to SegWit addresses (with a "bc1" prefix). Please send your withdrawals to non-SegWit addresses. I have a Segwit account but its not native segwit (like u mentioned and also bittrex with the BC1 prefix) bittrex confused me with their wording. support is really slow too. Does this mean i will be ok making a withdrawl to my address thats Segwit or do i need to make a legacy account? if so how do i do that? any help greatly appreciated
So I can send from Segwit address to Native Segwit address with no problems, right? I have two Nano S devices, but want to send from old to new (segwit to native segwit). Please and thanks!
