Thank you guys so much!!! I was so frustrated reading the Manila for my ti 83 and was getting so frustrated!! You guys did an awesome job at relieving that stress! Thank you!
Thank you! I am getting ready to attend college for the first time, and math was always my least favorite subject. With a little help from my TI-83, (it has the solver too) I feel a bit better about going into college algebra!
When you’re in high school taking classes before calculus you should get as good at algebra as possible so you breeze through harder classes in college. This silver can’t do everything remember
@@eclipse_pvp-gamez5428 I teach my students how to use it that way. I also teach my students how to find the answer on the table or graph. I am not sure about the SAT, but in the ACT you only have 1 min to answer each question and most students take too long to come up with the equation and take too long to type it in the calculator.
You guys did great! Thanks for the help! Very entertaining and very lively. Keep up the great work :) It doesn't matter what type of TI you have, they all have the same basic layout. Just follow what they did and you'll figure it out. I used this tutorial to figure out how to do this on my TI-84.
It is a good idea to try a positive guess and a negative guess, but sometimes the equation will have two positive answers or two negative answers. If your calculator gives you "Err: iterations", it means that are no answers with the sign you've entered. Try a guess with the other sign to get your first answer. Then try another guess with that sign (either closer to zero or closer to (+/-) infinity) to get your second answer. For instance, if 1 was an answer, but there are no neg answers, the -1 will yield the iterations error. Then try .00001 (which is much closer to 0); if that still gives x=1, you have not yet found your second answer. In that case try 100000 (much closer to infinity), and you will get your 2nd answer. Using very large and very small 2nd guesses will eliminate too much guesswork.
Hahahahaha it's so funny to watch this kind of tutorials!!! I forgot how tu use this feature on my TI-83 +, and suddenly a problem appeared, I had to solve a 4th. grade polynomial equation!!! I could solve it finally (well the calculator did it). Thank you.
god this would of been great to know this years ago... would of been so freaking helpful, but in college now, maybe it will still help, thank you for the video
Thanks so much. Does it matter what you input for your "guess" if you know there is only one answer to the formula you're using? I wanna use this to find answers quicker for complex problems, not just for quadratic equations.
Or you could make a program... Like this: PRGM: QDFRM Prompt A,B,C Disp (-B+√(B^2-4AC))/(2A),(-B-√(B^2-4AC))/(2A) And you'll both answers... (Note: This only works with Quadratic Formula)
for some reason scientific calculators are almost always better than graphing calculators when it comes to solving problems. many even have built in quadratic and polynomial function solvers. the only reasonably fast way to solve a function on a graphing calculator is to graph it out and see where the lines intersect.
I keep getting a syntax error...I'm using this to solve equilibrium expressions in AP Chem, and our teacher told us to figure out how to use this on our own, haha
i cant tell if this is as significant as i think it is. i feel like this is huge and an amazing way to check equations but i could be wrong and maybe im missing something.
You don't need to guess the answer that you think is closest, just write like a high number, maybe "80", and then solve, and then try "-80" a negative number.
The bad thing for this is that some schools/classes/exams require the EXACT answer, so using the solver won't be needed; it has to be done all by hand.. Or by a real symbolic calculator.
pessing clear doesnt rase the eaquation on the ti84 it clears the first part and then you still have the bound from the previous and i don think this works for tough problems like (-4zp^8u6^3)^3 or (x^2-7x+10)+(3x-14x+33)-(x^2=+4x-4) IF YOU BASLL ANSWER MY QUESTION
*Bold* words are 2ND _Italic_ words are ALPHA 1. *QUIT* 2. MODE 3. DOWN 10 times 4. RIGHT 2 times 6. ENTER 7. MATH 8. _B_ 9. UP 10. Enter in the equation 11. ENTER 12. Change bounds as necessary 13. _SOLVE_ 14. Take note of the number after "■X=" 15. *QUIT* 16. Rewrite that number 17. ENTER 18. Enjoy!
after filling in the formula push enter. then it says x=... and bound ... fill a number in at x and then push alpha-solve . then it calculates the answer
