Getting ready to wrap my 16 Maxima roof & hood & I was trying to figure out what the hell to do about the antenna cuz I don't want to disassemble the inner roof to remove the antenna. Ur vid convinced me to just cut it out... thanks. BTW, looks good
Beautiful car man.. I just watched your videos starting from you deciding between the 3.8 Genesis and and 370 all the was up to you adding the AAM exhaust and now this video. I really like what you did to your car. I love the 370Z and especially that color and the sport package rims. I personally think the earlier 370's are better looking than the newer ones. I'm actually in the same position that you were in with deciding between the 3.8 and the Z. Would you mind doing a video that describes daily life with a Z? i feel like I'm generally in the same boat as you, i rarely carry more than one passenger, not much luggage, and i want a sportier car than i have now, a step up so to speak. I currently have a 2003 Acura CL Type-S with Nav. Great car, more than enough power for me but i want a step up. more power, better handling, RWD, better looking and sounding. The Z has always been one of those dream cars for me that i never really thought i could realistically own. Like one of those things that i've always wanted but knew i couldn't have but lately, I've been thinking "fuck it, just buy it." I sat in one at the Philadelphia Auto Show last year, and I'm going to sit in it again this year, but the only thing I'm not the biggest fan of is the rear and side visibility. Mainly the rear view mirrors and the blind spots. I'm sure i could get around that eventually. Let me know how you feel about daily life in your car! Keep the good videos up man.
Thanks for the support! I just made a video on 'thing I hate about the Z' I go over blind spots lol. I have some more vids coming about the car real soon!
Yeah I watched that video already, you had some valid points but honestly the only thing that I think applies to me would be blind spots. I'm one of those drivers where I need to know whats going on around me at any given point so you'll catch me looking at my mirrors often. Anywho, I'm looking forward to your videos on the Z. Beautiful color and beautiful car. Very tasteful Mods bro.
Thanks! Once you adjust your mirrors properly, the only blind spot you can't get away from is at a perpendicular intersection. If your car is angled to the left, it will be super hard to see cars coming from the right. So I always keep my car at a right angle to the road I'm turning on.
Glad you liked it! The knifeless tape is definitely a must, check out the vinyl videos of the Evora, the knifeless tape really helped that project! thanks for the support!
Thinking about trying to wrap my Nissan Titan. Yours is a great video! Can you tell me the cleaning solution and details on the knifeless tape? Thanks!
Get 3M knifeless tape, and after u wash ur truck very well, clean whatever area that's getting wrapped with 70% rubbing alcohol to remove any grime, oils, etc.
Would you say it takes a lot of effort to get the wrap right? I got the impression that getting the vinyl to look good was difficult from your video, am I correct?
1 easy application that they could've used is "glassing" the wrap by pulling the wrinkles out one corner at a time in a triangle section. Glassing the roof makes squeegeeing so much easier
i started on mine today and its pretty hard to do as a one person job. yours came out really nice. i may have ruined the material and i have to wait until more comes in...
thats what one would think and its exactly what I did, but it leads to the 2nd half having a ton of wrinkles haha, oh well, small areas are super easy though :D . Im still on the fence on whether I should continue, I've done a roller paint job that came out pretty good, but I tried wrap this time since I don't want to deal with fumes and drying/sanding time.
Hmm, maybe you can find some tricks on how to do it just one person in some other videos. It is a lot of work, but if you have time to try again or get a buddy to help you.
I'm wondering how long can one expect it to continue to clean up like new (due to exposure), and how long or how many miles can you expect it to stay clinged to all the surface areas
I had a 3m vinyl on my tail lights for a little over 7 years with no issues in FL sun. Held up surprisingly well and waxed to a shine when it would start to dull just like the paint.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed lucky, we have to buy the plugs to seal off the holes left by the wiper and washer nozzle. I wondered about the defrost because you couldnt see them at all after the tint 😁
Guys, Pull tighter, its not gonna rip. You can yank someone across the car if you wanted. Make sure you pull tight and not have it loose like these guys
