So my starters are a bit shorter and I have 4c. A friend said I should wear a stocking cap and wash over the cap. My preferred shampoo/conditioner is trader joe's tea tree. Pre-locs I only washed every other week. I don't feel like I have hella buildup. Thoughts/advice? I know I won't get the scalp "scrubbed" this way

I good thing to use after washing is to put oil in ur dreads so they don't dry out from the shampoo so u don't have breakage

I’ve decided to do dreads again since I cut previous ones off (as u can see in my profile pic). I have had my starter dreads for 2 weeks. I started with two strand twist an my hair is 4c when will I start to see the two strands going away? Btw I use coils the first time I got dreads do two strands are still new to me

@@j.vosier6786 yeah bro it’s been only a month and my two strand are starting to loc up really well I’m pretty happy with my growth to. All I’ve been using for maintenance is lion pic gel and when I retwist my starter locs I use Jamaican mango and lime beeswax since my hair is 4c the wax can take it. But yeah that’s all I do and add oil with water to my scalp daily
