How to Wear Cufflinks

To wear cufflinks is as simple as 1-2-3. Just follow the steps in the video or steps below:
1. You must have a French cuff shirt which contains two holes in a sleeve
2. Fold over the two holes of the sleeve so that they can align
3. Take your cufflink and open it
4. Thread the cufflink through the first set of holes
5. Continue to thread the cufflink through the second pair of the holes of the sleeve
6. Finish by closing the cufflink
7. Neatly folding the edges to make it neat

There is a button on the vent of the sleeve for a reason. It keeps the sleeve closed so you do not loose the cufflink. (Important if you have expensive cufflinks.)

I've been seeing this thing from local thrift stores and I just found out today that they're called cuff links. They are sold for 5 pesos, I'll definitely gonna buy a pair of those! ✊

Yes, size can a little different but most importantly, the style and the way how we wear make our presentation and that makes a hugh different.

Thank you. Unfortunately, you need to have the kind of shirt for wearing the cufflinks. In some special events, you are better off to dress up and wear the cufflinks.

Usually one would wear cuff links with a French cuff shirt, not with a button shirt

Not really. Not me at least and I am not sure about others. I supposed you can if you want but I'd rather not simply because the cufflinks would be better off in their boxes and wear when you need to.

+CWHouseMenswear Oh, I definitely agree with you - keep them in the box and protected from scratches until you're ready to wear them. I meant that once I pick a shirt to wear, if it has French cuffs, I put the cufflinks on the shirt while it's still on the hanger, immediately before I put the shirt on and head to work.

I supposed you can out the cufflinks on the shirt first then put the shirt on and head to work. It is really an individual's preference. To me, I like to do the other way around, i.e. cufflinks last as you can see in my video, it is easy to put on when you have your shirt on.

It depends. I don't go by the type of cuff shirt. I look for the hole for wearing cufflink. I have shirts that are not french cuff shirt but have holes for putting the cufflinks in.

It means it wasn't fitted correctly. Every dude looks good in a dress shirt(obviously more than others, but that's with everything). Not every shirt is going to fit you off the rank. That's for generic bodies. You need a tailor or be really lucky to have a shirt fit your body. Obviously having a nicer body sets up a better canvas.
