Holy crap I just came across your channel the other day. I'm honestly surprised that the quality of your videos are even better than many bigger channels and that they're very informative with no filler. Thanks for putting out great content!
I’m getting my redhood helmet sometime this weekend and I’ve been binging these videos in preparation. I’m so hyped! And feel super prepared! You rock dude!
I just found your channel, and absolutely am so grateful for it! I have a very intricate helmet I'm going to be sanding, filling, painting, and weathering, and these videos have and will likely continue to be extremely helpful for me! Thank you!
thanks so much, just got my first ever project (Hannya mask) and you answered all my first timer questions that I had at this time ! thanks for your great work!
Loving your videos. I am just learning how to do up 3D printed masks and helmets and I am learning so much from these videos. I made a small Phantom Of The Opera mask using your sanding and paint techniques and it came out amazing! Working it slow but I wanna eventually get to Batman and Red Hood type levels of pro-looking helmets! My big accomplishment will be Iron Man! So glad to see your videos!
I realy apreciate that you took so many hours of your time to show us how to do this type of realistic prop build. Also great that you didn't try to jam it all into one 10 minute video. I subscribed because you have the patience and keen eye as well as the ingenuity to do this sort of art. I would love to see what you could do with some other time weathered props. Maybe a tank or a plane. My only criticism,... more of a personal preference though... Let the silver scuffs shine through a bit more.
Thanks for the videos! My son wants to be red hood for Halloween so we ordered the helmet and will be using your tips to have it ready for trick or treating.
Amazing Video Series!!!! Used this to paint my Darth Revan helmet & made a project out of it with my girlfriend! Thanks so much for going through all the steps & explaining everything! Can't wait for Halloween! I think this might end up becoming a hobby of mine!
Dude you're awesome! Just made a batman mask for a friend and its not perfect, so I want to weather it up a bit to give it a much better look. Thanks for this video!
I really appreciate this series, I just printed a death gun mask from the anime gun gale online. I do have a question, how would you go about painting a gun metal silver?
@@3DPrintedProps Thank you. I ended up doing a silver spray paint as the base and using alcohol ink to dull it out. Painted the entire thing in ink then wiped it off gave a nice dull silver effect, more of a machined steel look.
Unfortunately link for the LED lights for the eyes doesn't work for me. Tried to find them with Google, no joy... What search term should.i be using? (Great videos BTW)
Yeah. It’s a great video. I’m new to the 3D printing world and I’m still trying to level my printer bed. 🙄. But I wanted to create the red hood helmet from Titans. And I wasn’t sure how to get that semi shiny/metallic red. And this answered my question.
A lot of people put it on right at the end. This way it protects the weathering. I like to do weather after the clear. This way the weathering can change over time.
Do you put another clear coat after the weathering? I’ve had issues with rub n buff in the past rubbing off and getting my costume all silver and I’m not sure how to prevent that
Your tutorials are very helpful and easy to understand. Im coming from germany and want to use this dry aplicator too what do i have to search for to find this?
what do you think about the cr-10 s5? I'm buying my first 3d printer and want to spend some money to buy a larger one, but the cr-10 s4 is unavailable. i assume the s5 is the same as the s4 but larger? thoughts?
I've got a standard and an S4. I like the S4 a lot. I've heard that the S5 is hard to level due to the size of the bed. If you get one definitely get it with a bed leveling system like a BL touch. I really like getting machines from tiny Machines. They cost a little more but they add anything you need and its all tested. Also fantastic customer support. tiny-machines-3d.myshopify.com/products/creality-cr10s5
Are u up for hire like if I pay you thro PayPal or some thing and send a 3d model and asked you to paint whilst giving you a reference image on what colours to put where would you be able to do that?
Hey, thank you a lot of your videos and I appreciate your work .. I'm thinking about getting my own 3D printer, and I wanted to ask you what printer should I get? I know there are too many brands, shapes and sizes, but I want a printer that doesn't make mistakes or break so easily, something I can trust .. you know what I mean. Thank you in advanced.
It depends on what you want to print. If you are looking to do larger things like helmets and larger props then something with a larger bed would be best, like a 300x00x400. I like Creality. I still use the first printer I bought, its a creality cr-10. Here are some links to classes I created, if you are interested check them out and see what goes into the hobby. 3D Resin Printing: From Star to Finish bit.ly/2ZeIBbN 3D Printing: From Start to Finish bit.ly/2Nu91Uh
I know, it's tricky. I was going to leave it when I saw it, but I thought lets weather it and see. I like both, but yeah, that clean helmet looked great. :)
I did the clearcoat first but if you want to make it so the weathering doesn't wear off or scuff you can weather then do the clear. I like to weather last because then my weathering can actually change.
