the best tip i could give for defender would probably be to just use the splattershot jr, if you place the special in the center it basically prevents the ultra signal from being captured for a pretty decent amount of time (assuming a good bit of your team is there), it also paints really well so after you place the big bubbler try to sneak into the enemy turf while your team and the opposing ones are at center to start building up your special again, the map is usually pretty small when divided into thirds so you can pretty quickly get some temporary turf which is especially useful at the last few seconds, and doing this against the losing team can also sometimes completely stall them
Hi! I really liked all your tips, especially on finding strong defending positions! I thought i might throw in one evil defensive spot i really enjoyed as a Heavy Splatling. Setting up on the raised white platform directly in front and slightly to the right of where you spawn in lets you safely shut down an entire team's two safest ground routes to center. You can keep your opponents completely locked out of even approaching middle without having to set foot out of your own spawn.
@@abisk I think there’s a pretty big difference between watching flanks as a back liner in the middle of the map and spawn camping as a .52. Anyway, considering you talked about finding defensive spots in your video, I just thought I'd mention one that worked well for me, and might help others especially defending backliners. Cheers!
