I follow this channel almost since its inception because personally I have a 1992 mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 in the middle of the project I really liked this channel because of the way you record in first person this seemed very unique to me in all its splendor because it gives us a perspective as if we were always there face to face seeing all the content, the camera of your head seems to me something revolutionary all the channels do not have it in all the videos you always speak clearly without lies and you help us a lot to all of us who have a real vr4 me I love your red mitsubishi vr4 😁

The only 3000gt channel with a REAL build, I love the platform and definitely watch and support any 3S content but there are some "Builds" here on youtube just putting wheels, bumpers and basic maintenance... geeesh.., what I love about your channel is that is real, the struggle man.. you went from some junky jobs from shops to learning and doing it perfectly.

You know what still amaze me? A wealthy person that has a Lambo still gives so much love to a 30 old car.Just congrats for having good taste! I have a 91 VR4 that has a spunned bearing and we have to rebuild the engine but for now i could only buy a forged cranck,still need money for the labor and bearings but i hope to make it this year.I found also the ex owner mounted an intercooler from an old Maserati so probably it had an accident and could not found a 3000gt intercooler.🤷🏻‍♂️

Rebuilding your trans yourself is definitely worth it. I rebuilt my 5 speed in my 91 Stealth over the winter cuz of grinds in 1st, 3rd and 4th and was successful in disassembling and assembling it with no engine-building experience and just basic mechanical knowledge. It's been running and driving perfect for 3 months now! I have no doubt in my mind you can do it.

It's so so right now ... I put a big scratch in the firewall putting the engine back in one time and I just had brake fluid spray all over the firewall on the driver side so it's not the best anymore 🤣🤷‍♂️😥😭

How much is that paint job costing you? I am doing a color swap on mine and have completed disassembled it. I am a grand into it with just materials.

@@Thefishdog1 I’m in the same boat with my 91 VR-4. A grand depending on the paints you use is pretty normal. My my son’s car cost me about $1400 in materials. If I calculated the labor into it it was probably a $5k paint job…lol

I’m getting a full color change to factory pearl white (original color of car). They quoted me at $4500. Sadly it’s one of those “side job” situations, so they’ve had my car since November. Hoping it gets done soon!

My car is a 1999 and originally painted new Zealand pearl which is green. I am keeping it green but going house of kolor organic green. It is a couple shades lighter. It has been a job. The car was repainted and that clear was peeling. So that means I had to take apart the entire car to sand most of the old paint off.

I still want the side mounts! :-) But as for your trans, I'd advise buying a 2nd one (make sure its a 1g vr4 5 speed) and having it built by a professional trans builder like John Shepherd. which i believe is close to you in your state, then your car is not down for months and you can still enjoy it until your new built trans is ready. Swap it in then experiment rebuild the one you took out.

Just wondering what you think hurricane, I noticed you oil primed your new engine before startup . I did not . Do you think it's possible that I scrapped the bearings starting it the first time without oil prime .it's starting to knock slightly and oil pressure is getting even lower . Would you drop the pan and check the bearings before blaming the oil pump ??

I love the idea of you getting another and putting the 4G in it. Also for my car, although not exactly plug and play as the HKS kit, I created a mount out of an old license plate and put the MSD coils on it with my own homemade 8.5 wires and it definitely made it smoother.

There's a 1g eclipse sitting on canton rd across from lakemore plaza with a front mount if you wanted to do a eclipse build imo id do that before a 4g swap in a 3000gt, I still haven't seen either one of your cars out lol im sure the vr4 is way more impressive in person looks sick on video

Bro you could weld. With how confident you are at rebuilding the drivetrain you could figure it out in no time. But just want to say thanks, thanks for putting together these videos, they’ve been something to look forward to for the past few years. Once my kids are a little older I plan on fallowing your footsteps a little my VR4 is pretty much bone stock with the exception of a catback, boost controller, lowering springs and wheels. But would love to have a freshened up 450hp mitsu. Excited to see what’s to come. But if you want my opinion your content on the 3k you’ve got can keep going for a while. Big brakes and some safety items should be in there. Keep ya safe for us. P.S. I’m down to be put in the running for the SMIC set up. Thanks again bro and take care. 🤙

Try the HKS DLi Twin power unit, can be found for a deal right now and it has helped all my past cars with boost break up. I have it for my VR4 now but still collecting parts before install. Keep up the great work!

the reason that bracket doesn’t fit on the front right of the engine bay is because the tab needs to be bent. i saw that on my grandpas car that he bent it and i felt really stupid when i didn’t think of it

If it was steel I might believe it but an aluminum bracket should not be designed to be bent into place it for sure will break.
