Awesome video. I was looking for something very quick and right to the point. Very well done sir. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Also, Love the super duty...
Great video, I appreciated all the info provided on winterizing the Waverunner. One suggestion that could remind people to practice an environmentally friendly collection of the antifreeze.... rather than disposing of it out of the back of the jet ski. Thanks so much for the info
Nice video, have the same waverunner and the access to the intake is really difficult. Another good idea is to remove the wear ring, so the impeller won't stuck.
💥 Great, simple to the point video, thank you. Can I use regular car antifreeze and will that fogger oil foul the plugs when starting it in the spring.
Thank you. I recommend using RV antifreeze. RV antifreeze is non toxic and much safer to use than normal antifreeze. Too much fogging oil can absolutely foul the plugs but in most cases it is easily burnt off in the spring time. I have never had an issue, but I would rather replace my plugs than have a corroded cylinder wall.
Great video. I have a '99 XL1200... very similar. Maybe a stupid question, but if you have the Yamaha flush hose that goes into that fitting/connector, could you just connect that and pour the antifreeze into the other end of the hose (the end that has the garden hose connector)? Thanks!
Thanks for the comment. It is very simple in the summer. Reinstall your battery, put the ski into the water, and start it up. The fogging oil in the cylinders might make it start a bit slower and smoke more but it will all be burnt off in a few minutes.
I do not turn the engine fully on, I just turn it over meaning letting the pistons go up and down to spread out the fogging oil. So with the spark plugs out so that the engine can’t run, make sure the battery is hooked up and just try to start the engine.
@@TemperMetalFabrication If you do this, fuel is sprayed into cylinders without burning. Can this excess of old fuel left for several months in the cylinders cause some problems?
@@Skip11AM nope, it’ll never be an issue in an amount that small. It’s a two stroke too so there is oil mixed with that fuel which will help lubricate the parts.
Yes, that is what I used. Car anti freeze is strictly for cooling an engine. Rv antifreeze has a wide variety of usage from water tanks to jet skis to just about anything that you didn’t want to freeze.
