I install a solenoid and a switch to manually control the glow plugs on my 1992 Chevy Silverado with the 6.5 liter Detroit diesel. This bypasses the factory controller that doesn't allow the glow plugs to cycle when the engine is at operating temperature.

Greetings: Essentially U Jamaicafied / Africanized it by the "Creative wiring". I will credit U the relay, fuse (however 3x what should B...normal 4 lack of knowledge ), Mom switch, OEM relay disconnect and the uJunk glow plug thought. Gotta love it. Desspite, sometimes, it is a PIA it helps my business. Suffice 2 say as long as there R idiots attempting repair I will not B bored or starve. Key words"...put stuff back the way it is supposed 2 work". Advise- Troubleshoot and repair it properly or take it 2 some1 who can. Unless it is Ur POV. Still my advise applies. No disrespect 2 U. Just a thought. On another note, after U shut it off I heard what sounds similar the fuel pump running. Such should not. I hope my ears decieved me. Thx 4 the share. Bsafer
