This is a handful, my car is an 83 street / strip car not full on race, and has the "additional" Rube-Goldberg washer assembly so it is huge, I opted to go the 89 Nissan Maxima wiper motor route at least for now, along with a later years washer container with integral pump, this way I have room around the much smaller motor, and am able to spray my windshields as much as I see fit. Only one issue, there is no "auto-park" feature with this set up however, all good things i time. Great stuff, Thanks.
where'd ya get the "terminal assurance clips"? Way cool! i'm finishing up my FIRST TPI/sp350 crate swap and trying to clean up the bay harness in '91 Formula.
You'll need a double pole double throw switch. Because describing it all in writing would be very long I made a quick and dirty video about it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-blFm7MIRxlw.html A single pole double throw won't work because you need to feed the low speed coils in both modes, but with the single pole double throw you can't isolate the low speed from the high speed and would only get high speed.
i wired it like you showed but i have this weird problem that when the car is turned off it works fine but when the car is running and i turn off the wipers they start doing "mini laps" and wont turn off until i remove the power cable from the battery. Do you have any suggestions
the wiper blades are popped off. the plastic cowl cover mesh thing is removed. then the wiper motor unbolts from 3 m6 bolts and one nut on the motor shaft. it's fairly easy
