Recently did auto to manual mini me swap on my 99 civic ex, running a p72 gsr ecu y8 head on ZC Block. My question for you is on the Dizzy harness (y8dizzy) the Blk/Ylw & Blue wires on the ICM go where to which wire(s). They came undone from whatever wire(s) they got “soldered” onto. On the dizzy connector the Ylw/Grn wire (#1 pin) is cut. the dizzy connector has a OBD2a jumper harness that it plugs into making it go from 7pin to 10 pin. On the jumper harness OBD2a side pin 8 Blue wire is soldered to the OBD2b side pin 1 Ylw/Grn wire & where those 2 wires were soldered together it has a wire tapped into which leads to nothing. I’m assuming that it to came undone it wires to one of wires that came undone of the dizzy. Sorry for the long read any help would be appreciated.
Would by any chance do you know if the crv manual harness work with a 2000 civic si b16 ecu. I did a b16 swap on my crv and I have the si ecu but I haven’t had luck find a matching harness and was I’m wondering on directly running the vtec solenoid into the ecu. If so then this video will help a lot

Hey man love your work. Any chance you could help me with that same aspect but in my 3.0 vtech accord? I believe it came stock as a 3.0 non vtech 6 speed stick and now has a 3.0 vtech with no plugs for vtech solenoid or oil pressure switch.. Thanks man any info will help..

No, it doesn't work that way. Even with it wired correctly, the y7 ecu will never be able to send a signal to activate vtec because it ever had vtec to begin with. 100% cannot do a vtec mini me swap without the y8 ecu
It does indeed work I have an old three I did it and I pop VTEC just fine although make sure you have it grounded cuz if not it'll throw a code and it'll go into limp mode and not allow you to run over 3,000 RPMs

I have a y7 in my 97 but I'm installing a y8 head. I can wire the vtec solenoid no problem. But the y8 was an automatic car. I took the ecm just in case. Is there a way to turn the 97 y8 auto ecm to manual?

I just bought an 89 civic it is not running been sitting for awhile motor turns over everything looks OK just discovered it has been swapped to the D16Z6 motor. This is new to me do you think this could be a nightmare or is this not that big of a deal to mess with. I practically stole the car for what I payed for it.
Y not just get the pin to add it directly to the engine harness. Much cleaner look and u can just remove the whole motor and engine harness together. Plus it's a much more stock look😊
Hi sir. I have corolla 2007. In pakistan 2007 model corolla ware non vvti engine. I bought this car. This car engine change with 2011 model engine which has vvti. Car dricing is good with old model ecu. But vvti is not working. vvti wiring. I can se any wiring for vvti. Question: can i connect vvti to non vvti ecu. Kindly help me in this problen.
