Hi! Finish your diplomate exam (oral and written) plus 3 more years of experience so you can apply as Pediatric Specialist here in Qatar

I am planning to work as a psychiatrist. Do you know anything about that? Is there anything that i have to do except the things you told? And do you know the salary of a psychiatrist?

Basic requirements are almost the same except if you have specialty training you need to present certificate of training and that they dont require prometric exam for specialists anymore. Salary depends on where you apply (govt or private). Goodluck!

Hi Dr! thNk you for your kind words. That was also my concern before. Intership is still part the medical course that is why we cant take the board exam if we dont complete 1 yr of intership. I personaly did not include my intership as an experience when I applied here in Qatar as a GP.

Hi! I did my 5yrs work experience in the Philippines. I finished my residency in Peads for 3 yrs but not completed my diplomate exam. Had to take extra 2-3 yrs more GP experience in the PI before working here. Mahirap makapasok ng residency training dito kc konti lng slots nla plus may mga graduates cla dito n mas priority. But you can check HAMAD website para malaman ang mga requirement. I suggest jan n lng mgtraining ka ng EMED para mas malaki ang chance makapsok s govt hosp. Mas malaki ang pay at benefits kc a govt.

yes its not a common job postings here in qatar. They prefer GPs, Specialists and Consultants.

Gap means you stopped working for more than 6 months. You can go back to work and be active again before applying here.

1. They say 5 years post graduate experience in the qchp website. I suggest get 5 years work experience excluding intership just to be sure. 2. You can apply for assistant physician and then reapply for change of scope after completing the required number of years 3. yes you can take the exam anytime you like. The validity period is 3 years. 4. if you are employed as a gp here you are under a contract with your company so cant apply for training. they have other requiremenrs for residency training here. i will make another video for that.

Hi people here in Qatar are generally welcoming. There is a Turkish hospital here that is doing well. Salary depends on experience/qualifications and the institution so I cant realy say anything on that.

no, 5 years experience only applies to doctors who want to work as general practitioner as what the title of the video says.

Hi I asked a colleague who had his internship in Hamad and he said he didnt get salary during his time.

Hi! If you have watched this video, i mentioned already that you should have atleast 5yrs WORK experience to be able to get a license and work here. USMLE CK2 and PLAB are good review materials for prometric exam.

@@muhammadtayyab1246 you can take the exam anytime you wish. there is 3 years validity before it expires. but the point is, even if you pass the exam if you dont fulfill all the requirements to get your license then you wont be able to work.

Govt hospitals hire specialists and consultants. check the website of Hamad Medical Corporation and Primary Health Care Corporation for available jobs. You can apply there online. They do give visa sponsorships and allowances depending on what job you apply to.... for doctors, they do.

I came to work here in Qatar because my husband is working here as an engineer before we even got married. We are both doing great in our careers here so working in the US or UK is not an option at the moment. Prometric exam topic is a good idea for a video. Hope to make one soon.

Hi Sneha! Its really hard to apply if you are outside Qatar right now. Most employers prefer doctors who are based here locally because of the situation we are currently in. I think its not only here, even in other GCC countries.
