This video is about working less than full time for junior doctors on tier 2 visa
Both as a trust grade doctor and in HEE training
Less than full time work is a very friendly and helpful option for doctors who are in total grind while working full time in over demanding clinical fields.
Though many of us think that this can be possible once your residence status changes but it is still possible for Tier2 visa holders.
I have shared my experience and HEE flow sheet.
I wish you all the best and hope that you find this video useful.

AoA dr asma. I m a doctor from Pakistan done with house job, i m mother of two daughters, my husband is going to uk in June and we are planing to settle in uk. My question is can i do less than full time job after plab and gmc registration??i want to continue my career as well as i want to give time to my kids. So can I do part time work after my plab and gmc registration?? I mean instead of 9 to 5 can i work 9 am to 1 pm with less salary, so that i can take care of my kids as well

Wsalam, you can do LTFT as a tier 2 visa dependent but I am afraid you can’t select working hours from 9-1, the best solution is both of you should work as LTFT, your husband can work as 80% and you can do 60% without on calls, if your daughters are school going u can easily manage this with after school club. Other option is your husband should do LTFT 80% , so he will get 3 days off and you do locum during those days but before that try to get a clinical attachment to understand the system. Good luck.

@@shumailazahir8704 after plab and GMC u can apply for SHO, trust grades , trust fellow jobs or locums. 60% means you will work 60% instead of 100% and you will get 4 holidays though in can be difficult initially for a trust to offer this without any genuine reason. So best is Locum but after attachment.
