Can we export animation bin file to transfer on an IC

Hi, A few questions: Is there a way to midi map the scenes so during a live performance one could easily switch from one scene to another? Is there a way to BPM tap the scenes so during. alive performance the scene would match the sound? Is there a preferred company for the LED bars and accessories? What is the equipment needed to begin? I am familiar with only using LED decoders with DMX. Thank you,

-Yes, you can use midi notes to trigger scenes (or shows). -No BPM now. -We’ve developed our own LED bars in the past, but we’ve stopped selling, because the RGBW LEDs inside are not good enough. We have now new type of LED bar in development, but it’s not yet ready to sell. Anyway, you can use our software with every SPI LED bar (if it receives some standard WS or TM SPI signal). -We don’t have a video about how to build LED bars. We’ve just documented a way we’ve worked on one large project for building: ledstripstudio.com/portfolio-item/novira-plaza-is-it-the-most-beautiful-led-building-in-estonia/ You might find some valuable information there. The DMX is not that great, because of the 170 LEDs per output limitation. SPI signal is better choice.

Could you explain why your outputs start at universes 1, 7, 13, and 19 whereas I have the same device and in the configiration the universes for each output start at 1, 8, 15, 22?

Sure, the 1, 8, 15 and 22 are not fixed universes. You can set the device (SPI Matrix) to e.g. use just universe 1 for output 1, use universe 2+3 for output 2 and so on. And as it is set in the device, we have to use it in the mapping. By default, the outputs are set to use 1-7, 8-14, 15-21 and 22-28 for output 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Please update your videos to go with software version you release so tutorials make sense for inexperienced users.

This tutorial is using almost latest version of the software (02/2022), there were not many changes recently.

The software works with HD108 16-bit LED Strips to? Or only 8-bit leds?

According to the specification "The protocol of the HD108 LED strip is the same as the APA102 LED strip light." - thus it should work with our controllers. But the question is related more to controller than the software. If the controller supports HD108 and can receive Art-Net, you can use it with LED Strip Studio software.

so there's apps that can light up mars or apps that MUST use a mobile phone but controlling an led strip from your windows desktop via a simple audio player . far too difficult?

@@LEDStripStudio no, sorry, this was my expression of frustratione on the state of the LED/music app triggering tools/ hardware - my frustration at not being able to find any easy to set up entry level solution. Sorry if you took this as criticism about your video, it was not meant as such, just me being fed up after 2+ hours of searching, trying various apps that didn't pair with my LED strip, and then spending further hours trying to find alternate led strips that still wouldn't work, no matter - they just dont appear to exist. thing is my TV has in built led strips that change colour when using a visualizer such as milkdrop or GForce (the edge of the screens colour is mirrored by the led's) So i wished to extend the the range of these lights with the addition of led strips - which i can if i play music through my phone or use mic input rather than (better) windows audio i/o. Anyway thanks for reply.
